West Bank: Israeli forces arrest 60 Palestinian citizens
From yesterday evening until Thursday morning, the occupation forces launched a massive arrest campaign that targeted at least (60) citizens from the West Bank, including the mother of killed Uday Abu Jahisha from Hebron, and former prisoners.
The arrests were concentrated in the governorates of Bethlehem and Hebron, while the rest of the arrests were distributed in the governorates of: Tulkarm, Nablus, Ramallah, and Jerusalem.
Israeli forces continue to storm Tulkarm and its camp, which is subjected to comprehensive aggression and extensive field investigations of hundreds of citizens, accompanied by severe beatings. In light of the continuation of the military operation, we have not been able to confirm the numbers of detainees and those whom the occupation has kept detaining them.
The arrest campaign was accompanied by widespread raids and abuse, severe beatings, and threats against detainees and their families, in addition to widespread sabotage and destruction of citizens’ homes, direct shooting to kill, and confiscation of vehicles, in addition to widespread sabotage operations that affected infrastructure.
Thus, the total number of arrests after October 7 rose to about (6,090), and this total includes those who were arrested from homes, through military checkpoints, those who were forced to surrender themselves under pressure, and those who were held hostage.
It is noteworthy that the arrest campaigns do not only reflect the escalation in the number of detainees, but also the level of crimes, abuse and torture to which citizens were subjected, within the framework of the comprehensive escalation processes taking place in the governorates of the West Bank.
