Documenting the testimony of two prisoners who were abused during their detention

Today, Tuesday, the Commission for Detainees and Ex-Detainees Affairs revealed that the Israeli occupation forces are using difficult and painful methods against Palestinian prisoners, as they are subjected during their detention to various forms of psychological violence and physical beatings on various parts of their bodies.

The commission documented, through its lawyer, Jacqueline Al-Farrja, the testimony of two prisoners who were subjected to abuse and beating during their detention.

The prisoner, Ayser Kanaan (19 years), from the town of Birzeit in Ramallah, was violated by the Israeli occupation soldiers, as they stormed his house at 1:00 am, and his house was barbarically searched, and its contents were broken and turned upside down, after that they hit him on the head. With the butts of their rifles, they threw him to the ground and trampled on him with their shoes. He was then transferred to Beit El camp, and then to the Etzion interrogation center.

As for the prisoner Youssef Shehdeh (23 years), from the town of Al-Eizariya in Jerusalem, the occupation forces stormed his house at 3:00 am and severely beat him all over his body with the butts of their rifles, and then he was transferred to the Etzion detention and interrogation center.
