The West Bank.. Israeli settlers burn Palestinian vehicles in the village of Al-Mughayer.

Israeli settlers set fire, on Friday evening, to Palestinian vehicles in the village of al-Mughayer, east of Ramallah, in the occupied West Bank.

Local sources reported that a group of settlers stormed the western area of al-Mughayer village and burned a number of Palestinian vehicles.

The sources clarified that the young men of the village attempted to confront the settlers, while the Israeli army stormed the village and fired sound bombs and tear gas, leading to clashes whose outcomes are still unclear.

The sources indicated that the settlers attacked the home of Muhammad Khamees Abu Aliya and a farm belonging to a resident of the village before the young men confronted them.

According to data from the Palestinian Wall and Settlement Resistance Commission, settlers carried out 7,154 attacks against Palestinians and their properties in the West Bank during the two years of genocide in Gaza.

The attacks resulted in the martyrdom of 33 citizens and the displacement of 33 Palestinian Bedouin communities, as well as the establishment of 114 settlement outposts.

The settlers' attacks fall within a broad wave of Israeli escalation in the West Bank, which has resulted in the killing of 1,057 Palestinians and the injury of about 10,000 others over the past two years, in addition to the arrest of more than 20,000 people, including 1,600 children.

On October 8, 2023, Israel began a genocide in Gaza that lasted for two years, resulting in the deaths of 68,280 Palestinians and the injury of 170,375 others, ending with a ceasefire agreement that came into effect on October 10 of this month.
