On July 22nd, the residents of the town of Beit Oula, west of Hebron, woke up to an unusual scene; a settler was setting up a tent on their land adjacent to the 1949 armistice line.
In the following week, Mahmoud Al-Amleh and his father were tending to their land, which they inherited from their ancestors, but the settler blocked their way.
After a long argument and the presence of the occupation forces, everyone temporarily left the area. Mahmoud returned with his father in the following days, and within minutes, the army arrived accompanied by the same settler, but this time the latter was wearing the full uniform of the occupation army.
We are truly changing the infrastructure, ownership, and legal framework, and we are altering the DNA of the occupation system.
