Russian President Vladimir Putin stressed on Thursday the necessity of finding a just solution to the Palestinian issue in light of the unprecedented escalation taking place in the Middle East.
Putin said in a telegram addressed to the Arab Summit held in Bahrain, published by the official website of the Russian Kremlin: “The Middle East is going through one of the most severe crises. The escalation of the Palestinian-Israeli conflict has claimed the lives of tens of thousands of civilians. In light of these tragic events, it becomes necessary to reach a just solution.” "The Palestinian issue on an internationally recognized basis is particularly urgent."
