Netanyahu's apology to Qatar sparks disputes within the occupying government's coalition and the opposition.

The apology of the Prime Minister of the occupation, Benjamin Netanyahu, to Qatar for the recent attack in Doha has sparked a storm of sharp criticism within political circles in the occupation entity, including prominent figures from both the ruling coalition and the opposition.

This criticism comes at a time when far-right ministers have escalated their attacks on Doha, led by National Security Minister Itamar Ben Gvir, who praised the attack and described it as "just and moral."

In a statement reflecting the hardline trends within the government, Ben Gvir said that the attack targeting leaders in Hamas is "extremely important," considering it sends a message to those he described as "the perpetrators of the October 7 massacre" that "there is no safe place for them in the world."

Ben Gvir continued his direct attack on Qatar, stating: "It is time to tell the world the truth: Qatar is a state that supports terrorism, funds it, and incites it. No amount of money will erase terrorism from their hands."

These contrasting positions place Netanyahu in a difficult position, as he faces pressure from his coalition partners who refuse any concession or apology, while he sees the necessity of maintaining Qatar's mediating role in sensitive regional issues, which led him to issue the apology that has now become the center of an internal political crisis.

UNICEF: One in five children in Gaza suffers from low birth weight.

The United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF) stated on Monday that one in five children in the Gaza Strip is born prematurely or with low birth weight, due to the ongoing systematic starvation imposed by Israel on Palestinians for the past two years.

The organization clarified in a post on the American platform "X" that it provided essential hygiene supplies to hospitals and health centers in Gaza City this week.

However, it emphasized that Palestinian children in the Gaza Strip "need access to more life-saving nutrition and health services."

The UN agency reiterated its demand for the immediate introduction of widespread aid for children, infants, and families in the Gaza Strip.

It renewed its call for a ceasefire in the area, which has been subjected to systematic starvation by Israel for months and a suffocating blockade for nearly two years.

The strict Israeli blockade on Palestinians has led to an unprecedented famine, resulting in the deaths of 422 people, including 147 children, as of September 29, despite numerous appeals to end the blockade, open the crossings, and deliver aid immediately.

On August 22, 2025, the Global Initiative for the Integrated Food Security Phase Classification announced a "famine situation in Gaza City," predicting its extension to other areas in the strip.

Since March 2, Israel has closed all crossings leading to Gaza, preventing any humanitarian aid, which has plunged the area into famine despite relief trucks piling up at its borders.

However, less than two months ago, it allowed a very limited amount of aid to enter, which does not meet the minimum needs of the starving population and does not end the famine, especially as most trucks have been subjected to looting by gangs that the "Gaza government" claims are protected by Israel.

With American support, Israel has been committing genocide in Gaza since October 7, 2023, resulting in 66,055 deaths and 168,346 injuries, most of whom are children and women, and a famine that has claimed the lives of 442 Palestinians, including 147 children.

Hamas expresses its willingness to consider the American plan and outlines its conditions for ending the war in Gaza.

The Hamas movement announced on Monday evening, September 29, 2025, its readiness to study the currently proposed American plan to end the war, affirming that any proposal will be examined in a way that guarantees the rights of the Palestinian people and their national interests.

This came in statements by the movement's leader, Taher al-Nunu, who revealed that Hamas has not received any copy of the American plan up to this moment and was not part of the negotiations that led to it.

The Hamas leader firmly linked the release of prisoners held by the resistance to the complete end of the war, explaining that "the release of the occupation's prisoners is tied to the end of the war and the withdrawal of the occupation from Gaza."

United Nations: Continued violations of the occupation in the Palestinian territories and an urgent call to stop the aggression and facilitate the delivery of aid.

Today, Monday, the Deputy Special Coordinator for the Middle East Peace Process, Ramiz Al-Kabarov, presented the thirty-fifth report of the Secretary-General of the United Nations on the implementation of Security Council Resolution 2334 (2016) to the United Nations General Assembly.

The report covers the period from June 18 to September 19, 2025, and emphasizes the continued expansion of settlements and Israeli violations in the occupied Palestinian territories.

The report stated that Israeli authorities have approved or advanced plans to build more than 20,000 housing/settlement units in the West Bank, including East Jerusalem, including the issuance of tenders for the construction of housing/settlement units in the settlements of "Ma'ale Adumim" and "Ariel."

It also presents a plan to build more than 3,400 units in the E1 area, which threatens the connection between northern and southern West Bank and increases the risk of forced displacement.

The report noted the continued demolition and seizure of about 455 Palestinian facilities, resulting in the displacement of 420 people, including 175 children and 118 women, with ongoing eviction operations in East Jerusalem.

The report also recorded an escalation in Israeli military operations in the Gaza Strip, targeting schools, hospitals, and residential buildings, resulting in thousands of Palestinian casualties, the majority of whom are women and children, and displacing millions.

Additionally, United Nations staff and humanitarian workers have been killed.

Regarding violence in the West Bank, the report indicated the martyrdom of 46 Palestinians, including children and women, and the injury of 890 others, in addition to the continued arrest operations, with the number of administrative detainees reaching about 2,662 people, along with repeated reports of torture and ill-treatment.

Al-Kabarov confirmed that the humanitarian situation in Gaza has reached the point of famine, with more than half a million people facing the risk of starvation, and called for an immediate and sustainable ceasefire, the immediate release of all hostages, and the facilitation of humanitarian aid without restrictions.

The report referred to the efforts of the international community, including the international conference sponsored by France and Saudi Arabia, to promote the two-state solution, calling for respect for international law and United Nations resolutions, and enabling Palestinians to exercise their right to self-determination and establish their independent state with Jerusalem as its capital.

Along with the return of refugees, to ensure a just and lasting peace between Israel and Palestine.

The report also condemned the use of violence by all parties, emphasizing the protection of civilians and respect for international humanitarian law, and the necessity to stop all actions that lead to displacement or collective punishment against the Palestinian population.

Israeli frustration over failure in Gaza after two years of "Al-Aqsa Flood"

As the second anniversary of the Flood attack on October 7, 2023 approaches, Israelis are recalling the details of the day that dealt a painful blow to them, for which they paid with blood and heavy losses. Today, two years later, they fear that they may not be able to rise again, not due to a loss of military strength, but as a result of corrupt leadership, a lack of responsibility, and mismanagement.

Shimon Shabas, the political advisor and former director general of the late Prime Minister Yitzhak Rabin's office, noted that "on October 6, 1973, my life changed forever, as did the life of my entire generation, because that war came like a resounding slap in the face of the state after the euphoria of the 1967 war, and as a result, we paid a heavy price: thousands of soldiers did not return, and many returned but were not the same as they were."

He pointed out that "not a single street in the state escaped harm: 2,600 dead, 7,500 wounded, and tens of thousands injured in life, a heavy price paid by society due to blindness, arrogance, political folly, and a miscalculation that approached lawlessness."

Shabas added in an article published on the Walla website and translated by "Arabi21" that "this devastating loss was not a foregone conclusion, it was not an earthquake or a volcanic eruption or a meteor strike, but a catastrophic failure resulting from blind faith in a concept, and a reluctance to act. Everyone responsible for this failure paid the price; Golda Meir and Moshe Dayan left the scene, and four years later, the Labor Party that built and led the state paid the political price and was sent to the opposition."

He indicated that "Israel and its generation at the time were all left with scars that remain to this day, decades of post-traumatic shock, sleepless nights, and anxiety, paying the price with heavy hearts. With the launch of Hamas's attack on October 7, 2023, fifty years and one day later, what seemed to us like a historic failure due to unprecedented incapacity and blindness diminished in the face of the catastrophe of October 7."

However, it is not a catastrophe; a catastrophe happens on its own, by accident, or by a higher power. He clarified that "October 7, 2023, unlike October 6, 1973, is the result of deliberate chaos, years of warnings, screams, and pleas in the face of a dictator in the making, blind, drunk with power, irresponsible, the worst leader for the Jews since the destruction of the Temple two thousand years ago."

One thousand Jews paid with their lives for the incompetence and blindness of Benjamin Netanyahu and his group, tens of thousands walk injured in their bodies and minds, an entire state suffers from psychological trauma, and hundreds of thousands of children will live with it forever.

Shabas affirmed: "I fear that we will not be able to rise from the war of October 7, not because Israelis have lost the ability, but rather, they have shown much greater determination than their failed leaders. However, because our leadership is corrupt and irresponsible, and above all malicious, a leadership willing to sacrifice its citizens to remain in power, even if the state no longer exists."

Today, because of this government, it becomes much harder to confront Hamas, as we lack the necessary tools, and the bargaining chips are in the hands of crazy ministers.

He added that "the government and its ministers see themselves waging an endless war with the whole world to achieve their messianic vision. They sincerely believe that these are the days of the Messiah."

After the 1973 war destroyed trust in the old leadership and paved the way for a political coup that brought Menachem Begin to power, October 7, 2023, destroyed trust in the state itself, the trust of Israelis in the government, the army, and in themselves.

This is not post-traumatic shock, but disintegration, and the result is that we see our children fleeing the state, with destruction looming on the horizon.

Shabas concluded, according to Walla, that what remains for Israelis today is "one bullet in the barrel of the gun, a final step before losing what they are trying to save from the state, under a government that has turned the police into a private militia, and has caused incitement, division, and internal conflict, making the option of ousting it inevitable, otherwise the scars of October 7 will continue to haunt them until further notice."

Trump hosts Netanyahu for talks related to the plan to end the war in Gaza.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu arrived at the White House on Monday for crucial talks with U.S. President Donald Trump, primarily focused on the proposed American plan to end the war in the Gaza Strip.

This meeting comes at a time when U.S. diplomatic efforts are reaching their peak to reach an agreement that ends the ongoing conflict, with the plan bearing the fingerprints of the Trump administration being the center of international attention.

Before the official talks began, President Trump made brief statements to reporters, expressing great optimism about the imminent resolution.

Trump's vision was not limited to the Gaza Strip but extended to the entire region, as he affirmed, "I believe we will achieve peace in the Middle East."

The international community is awaiting the results of this important meeting, which could determine the course of events in the region in the coming period, and to see how aligned the visions are between the two allies regarding the details of the American plan and the conditions for its implementation on the ground.

The Security Council discusses the acceleration of settlement in the occupied Palestinian territory.

The United Nations Security Council held a meeting on the situation in the Middle East, including the Palestinian issue, during which members listened to a briefing from the UN Deputy Coordinator for the Middle East Peace Process, Ramzi Akbrov, regarding settlement activities in the occupied Palestinian territory.

Akbrov referred to Security Council Resolution 2334 issued in 2016, which calls on Israel to immediately and completely cease all settlement activities in the occupied Palestinian territory, including East Jerusalem, while emphasizing the continued acceleration of Israeli settlement expansion.

During his briefing, Akbrov reviewed the UN Secretary-General's report on the implementation of the resolution and his observations in this regard, clarifying that the expansion of settlements continues to accelerate, alongside the proliferation of settlement outposts and the Israeli Knesset's steps to reinforce the annexation of the West Bank.

The UN official affirmed the illegality of Israeli settlements, stating that they constitute a blatant violation of international law and UN resolutions, and said, "They systematically reduce the territory of the Palestinian state and further entrench the illegal Israeli occupation."

Akbrov conveyed the Secretary-General's warning against proceeding with the E1 plan, describing it as a catastrophic development, as it would practically lead to the separation of northern West Bank from southern West Bank, undermining the continuity of a sovereign Palestinian state and increasing the risk of forced displacement and fueling tensions.

He stressed the necessity for Israel to comply with its obligations under international law, referring to the advisory opinion issued by the International Court of Justice on July 19, 2024, which reaffirms Israel's obligation to immediately cease all new settlement activities, evacuate all settlers, and end its illegal presence in the occupied Palestinian territory as soon as possible.

The Secretary-General expressed grave concern regarding statements from Israeli government officials about annexing all or parts of the occupied Palestinian territory, warning that these policies exacerbate tensions in the region.

For his part, the representative of the Russian Federation, referring to the report, expressed regret over the absence of "reasons for optimism," affirming that Resolution 2334 (2016) is not only not being implemented but is being "flagrantly violated."

He cited Israel's announcement in mid-August of reviving a plan to build settlements in the E1 area, noting that this jeopardizes the prospects for a two-state solution.

Regarding settler violence, the Russian representative emphasized that "this violence cannot occur without relying on extremist settlers who receive support from the authorities."

He stated that Israeli law enforcement agencies either turn a blind eye to the crimes they commit or are complicit in them.

The Security Council meeting today took place on the last day of the high-level general debate of the United Nations General Assembly, where leaders and officials from countries reviewed their national priorities and visions for addressing common challenges.

Israeli interest in the upcoming meeting between Netanyahu and Trump to end the Gaza war

Hebrew media focused its coverage on the anticipated meeting between Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and U.S. President Donald Trump today, Monday, which is expected to center on the issue of ending the fighting in Gaza and the American plan for future settlement.

The Hebrew newspaper "Maariv" noted that Netanyahu said in an interview with Fox News that "we are currently working with the Trump team on a 21-point agreement, and we hope to be able to move it forward, and if Hamas leaders leave Gaza and release the hostages and end the war, we will guarantee them a safe exit."

The newspaper reported that Trump also stated that the reactions from Israel and Arab countries are positive, expressing hope for reaching an agreement in the scheduled meeting with Netanyahu.

It quoted a senior Israeli political official as saying that "Tel Aviv is dealing with the Trump administration's plan to end the war in the Gaza Strip with a simple and clear principle, which is the return of the prisoners and the exit of Hamas from Gaza."

The same source continued: "There is a preliminary agreement that Israel does not intend to allow Hamas to continue its control over the Gaza Strip the next day, but it also does not intend to return the Palestinian Authority to it."

Maariv pointed out that the French ambassador to Israel, Frédéric Jorjais, stated to it that the police affiliated with the Palestinian Authority are already training in Jordan, preparing for their future entry into Gaza, as part of the arrangement being formed to end the war.

It noted that Netanyahu canceled part of his agenda that was scheduled for Sunday in New York and replaced it with meetings with his small team and advisors, in preparation for today's meeting with Trump.

It addressed that Trump's 21-point plan was leaked in recent days, revealing that the first phase will include an immediate halt to all military operations, freezing lines of combat, and releasing all living prisoners within 48 hours, along with returning the bodies of the dead.

Gaza records a new bloody toll.. 33 dead in the ongoing aggression of the occupation on the sector.

Gaza 29-9-2025 - The death toll of martyrs who arrived at hospitals in the Gaza Strip, from 12:00 AM until 2:50 PM today, Monday, has risen to 33 martyrs, distributed as follows: Al-Shifa Hospital: 16 martyrs, Baptist Hospital: 8 martyrs, Al-Awda Hospital: 2 martyrs, Al-Aqsa Hospital: 3 martyrs, Nasser Hospital: 4 martyrs.

Medical sources reported that among the martyrs were four citizens who fell while waiting to receive humanitarian aid in the southern part of the Strip.

In the same context, medical sources in Gaza announced that the toll of the ongoing Israeli aggression on the Strip, since October 7, 2023, has risen to 66,055 martyrs and 168,346 injured, noting that a number of victims are still under the rubble and in the streets, amid the inability of ambulance and civil defense teams to reach them until now.

Dogs are gnawing on the bodies of the martyrs in the streets of Gaza, and the occupation prevents ambulances from retrieving them

The civil defense teams are no longer able to retrieve the bodies of the martyrs scattered in several areas of Gaza due to the refusal of the occupation forces to approach these places, according to two officials from civil defense and ambulance services.

The director of ambulance and emergency services in Gaza City and northern Gaza, Fares Afana, confirmed in an interview the inability of civil defense teams to retrieve dozens of bodies from the streets due to the refusal of the occupation forces to coordinate with them.

There are also dozens trapped under the rubble of houses in several areas where the occupation refuses to allow rescue teams to enter, which has led to a large number of injured people dying in their places, according to Afana.

Stray dogs have begun to gnaw on these bodies scattered in the streets, especially in the areas of Sabra, Tal al-Hawa, the beach, and Sheikh Radwan, where Afana says the occupation forces stationed there fire bullets and artillery shells at anyone who approaches.

The civil defense teams have become able to move in a very limited number of streets due to the Israeli military presence, while the rubble of the residential towers that were bombed has closed many of the roads leading to the areas where Afana confirmed there are trapped individuals, in addition to dozens of bodies scattered in the streets for days.

The occupation rejected 26 coordination requests out of 27 submitted during the past 22 days, according to Mahmoud Basal, the spokesperson for civil defense in the sector.

The occupation also rejected more than 70 urgent intervention requests in some areas during the past hours, while ambulance teams are trying to reach the locations of the trapped individuals without prior coordination.

By rejecting coordination operations, the occupation army is violating international law and the Geneva Conventions, which obligate parties not to obstruct ambulance teams or target them during military operations, according to Basal.

During the past week, the ambulance service in Gaza received 320 distress calls from trapped individuals and injured people in the neighborhoods of Sabra and Tal al-Hawa, but it was unable to reach any of them due to the occupation firing at its teams, as confirmed by the spokesperson.

In one of these appeals, a person urged the ambulance teams to hurry to retrieve the bodies of his children lying in the street, as he was unable to approach them.

Currently, the areas of Sabra and Tal al-Hawa are experiencing the same scenes that the northern Gaza region witnessed during the implementation of the occupation army's generals' plan six months ago, according to Basal.

Basal stated that these teams are performing purely humanitarian work, and the law grants them the right to move and retrieve the injured, the trapped, and the bodies without permission from anyone, which Israel refuses to comply with.

Tens of thousands of civilians have lost their lives due to the occupation forces preventing rescue teams from reaching them, and there are thousands more facing the same fate now.

Zamir warns Netanyahu: The occupation of Gaza lacks a political end and puts prisoners and soldiers at risk.

The Hebrew newspaper Yedioth Ahronoth reported that the Chief of Staff of the Israeli occupation army, Eyal Zamir, warned Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu against a military attack on Gaza, stating that the operation lacks a political end and endangers the hostages and soldiers.

The newspaper mentioned that Zamir delivered a direct confidential memo to Netanyahu, which stated that "the army fighters return to the same positions without a political goal," prior to Netanyahu's anticipated meeting with U.S. President Donald Trump in Washington to discuss an American proposal to end the war.

Zamir clarified that "the operational measures endanger the hostages, and their situation is deteriorating," emphasizing that "every operation needs a political end," adding that "there is no political end in the city of Gaza," and confirming that Israel "refuses to find an alternative to Hamas in the Gaza Strip."

An Israeli army spokesperson confirmed the existence of the document, describing it as "highly sensitive and confidential," explaining that it was delivered directly to Netanyahu and Defense Minister Israel Katz, while refusing to comment on its content, warning at the same time that "leaking its content to unauthorized parties constitutes a breach of state security."

The report sparked angry reactions from the families of soldiers in Gaza, as they expressed to Channel 13 that they were "horrified by what was stated," adding: "According to the Chief of Staff's own words, he is sending our sons to die and be injured without a goal. The lives of our children are not cheap," stressing that "this is the time for the families of the fighters to stand up and stop this senseless war."

In the same context, Yair Golan, head of the Democrats party and a former general in the occupation army, wrote on the "X" platform saying: "Chief of Staff Zamir warned explicitly: a war without a political purpose, neglecting the prisoners and soldiers," adding: "This is a government that is neither Jewish nor Zionist, but a government of blood and hatred."

He also stated: "Netanyahu is a person who sabotages deals; I hope President Trump truly understands who he is dealing with - Netanyahu will do everything to sabotage this proposal on the table as well; if Trump wants to end the war and return the hostages, he will have to impose the agreement on Netanyahu."

For its part, The Washington Post revealed new provisions in Trump's plan to end the Israeli aggression on Gaza, which calls for an immediate halt to all military operations in the sector. The newspaper states that the proposal includes freezing the lines of combat in their places with the release of all living prisoners within 48 hours, in addition to handing over the bodies of more than 20 others.

It also indicates that the plan provides little or no details on how or in what sequence to implement its 21 points, claiming that the plan, according to the newspaper, increases aid and does not force any of the residents of the sector to leave, and that those who leave will have the right to return.

The plan also includes a pathway that states that once all Israeli prisoners are released, Tel Aviv will release 250 prisoners sentenced to life imprisonment, in addition to 1,700 Palestinians who were arrested after October 7, and for every Israeli prisoner whose body is handed over, the occupation authorities will hand over the bodies of 15 Palestinians.

The plan includes disarming and destroying Hamas and excluding it from governance, granting amnesty to militants who commit to peaceful coexistence, and facilitating safe passage to other countries for those who wish to leave. For its part, the 'Times of Israel' revealed that the plan was recently shared with several Arab and Islamic countries on the sidelines of the United Nations General Assembly meetings in New York.

A number of Palestinians were injured on Saturday evening in scattered attacks carried out by Israeli settlers, while Palestinian sources announced the establishment of a new settlement outpost in the northern occupied West Bank.

A Palestinian source stated that a young Palestinian was injured after being run over by an Israeli settler near the village of Luban al-Sharqiya, south of the city of Nablus, in the northern West Bank. The young man, Mahmoud Ahmed Oweis (21 years old), was transferred to the Consultative Hospital in Ramallah.

In the south of Nablus city, settlers attacked Palestinian vehicles on the road adjacent to the "Yitzhar" settlement, causing damage to several of them.

In the northern West Bank, sources reported that settlers established a new settlement outpost on the lands of Deir Istiya, northwest of Salfit city, where they set up tents on a piece of land estimated to be 44 dunams.

In the village of al-Mughayyir, northeast of Ramallah, residents of the village managed to expel a group of settlers after they attempted to invade the village's lands and attack citizens' properties, leading to clashes that resulted in several residents suffering from suffocation.

The Israeli army and settlers have escalated their attacks in the West Bank, including East Jerusalem, resulting in the deaths of at least 1,046 Palestinians, and injuring about 10,160, in addition to the arrest of more than 19,000.

The correspondent mentioned that the strikes targeted the Mideena plain in the towns of Kfar Rumman and Jarmak in the Nabatieh district.

The National News Agency of Lebanon stated that "the attacking aircraft dropped several air-to-ground missiles, causing explosions that created a tremendous noise echoing throughout the area."

Videos circulated on social media showed plumes of smoke rising from the bombing site, while there were no immediate reports of injuries.

In a related context, the agency reported that an Israeli drone targeted a house in the town of Houmine al-Fawqa in the Nabatieh district.

It is noteworthy that a ceasefire has been in effect between Hezbollah and Israel since November 27, 2024, but the Israeli army continues to carry out demolition and bombing operations in southern Lebanon and conducts near-daily airstrikes.

Israeli forces still occupy five Lebanese hills that they seized during the aggression that escalated into a wide-scale war on September 23, 2024, resulting in over 4,000 deaths and around 17,000 injuries.

"The Resilience Fleet" is 825 km away from Gaza, and two drones threaten it.

The "Global Fleet of Resilience" to break the Israeli blockade on the Gaza Strip announced today, Sunday, that it is now only about 825 kilometers away from the strip.

The "Global Fleet of Resilience," which includes more than 50 boats heading towards Gaza with the aim of opening a humanitarian corridor and breaking the Israeli blockade, has been subjected to attacks by drones believed to have been carried out by Israel, resulting in several explosions and communication disruptions, without any human casualties.

The "Global Fleet of Resilience" continues its voyage towards the besieged Gaza and includes the Freedom Flotilla Coalition, the Global Gaza Movement, the Resilience Convoy, and the Malaysian organization "Nusantara Resilience," with more than 500 activists on board from about 45 countries, including 54 French and 15 Belgians, along with doctors and prominent activists including Swedish activist Greta Thunberg.

One of the activists on board the "Alma" boat of the fleet reported in a short video on the fleet's account on the "X" platform that drone movements were recorded during the night, as two drones flew at low altitude over the fleet's boats, without carrying out any attacks.

Both Italy and Spain announced the dispatch of navy ships to accompany the Global Fleet of Resilience seeking to break the ongoing Israeli blockade on Gaza, following its attack by drones.

Italian Defense Minister Guido Crosetto stated that he decided to send a second navy ship to assist the fleet, strongly condemning the attack that targeted the Global Fleet of Resilience last Tuesday via drones.

For his part, Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez also announced the dispatch of a navy ship to accompany the fleet in anticipation of possible attacks.

At the end of August, dozens of ships set sail from the Spanish port of Barcelona as part of the fleet, loaded with humanitarian aid, especially medical supplies, followed by another convoy that departed at dawn on September 1 from the port of Genoa in northwestern Italy, as well as other boats from Morocco and Tunisia.

The occupation has previously engaged in acts of piracy against ships heading to Gaza, seizing them and deporting the activists on board.

This is the first time that dozens of ships are sailing together towards Gaza in a collective attempt to break the Israeli blockade on the strip.

New York.. The UAE reaffirms its support for the "two-state solution" to the Palestinian issue.

The UAE has renewed its expression of support for the principle of the "two-state solution" for Palestine and Israel as a fundamental requirement for achieving a "lasting, just, and comprehensive" resolution to the Palestinian issue.

This was stated in a speech during the 80th session of the United Nations General Assembly in New York, where Minister of State Lana Zaki Nusseibeh delivered the speech and affirmed her country's commitment to "diplomacy, peaceful solutions, and dialogue" to resolve conflicts.

Regarding the Palestinian-Israeli conflict, Nusseibeh stated that "no excuse can justify targeting tens of thousands of civilians, besieging them, starving them, forcibly displacing them, or advancing unacceptable expansionist ambitions, including the threat to annex the West Bank."

Nusseibeh emphasized that "this situation cannot be exploited as a justification for aggression against the countries of the region, as we recently witnessed in the treacherous and condemned Israeli attack against the sisterly State of Qatar."

She stressed that "aggressive practices will not bring stability to the region."

She also affirmed the UAE's belief in "the existence of a competent Palestinian government capable of meeting the aspirations of the Palestinian people, monopolizing weapons, and ensuring security, stability, and the rule of law."

Nusseibeh conveyed the UAE's welcome for the growing recognition of the State of Palestine and called on other countries to join this path "as an investment in a better future for the region."

The minister emphasized that the UAE's "first and urgent demand is to reach an immediate and permanent ceasefire in Gaza, end the blockade, release hostages and detainees, and facilitate the urgent, widespread, and unobstructed delivery of humanitarian aid."

Le Monde: The Village of Forgotten Americans in Palestine

A village in the West Bank, 85% of its residents are American Palestinian citizens who come every summer to join their families and maintain their connection to their homeland, aware that their American passports do not provide them with any immunity from the persecution of the Israeli army and settlers.

Mohammad Rabi' began to accept, after three months, that his son Omar would never return home after being killed by Israeli soldiers. The report shows that Omar Rabi', who was 14 years old, was shot 16 times, including twice in the head.

Turmus Ayya is unique in that 85% of its residents are Americans who immigrated after the Nakba or after the 1967 war. These individuals return every summer to their villages, increasing its population from 5,000 to 14,000.

Since the rise of the far-right led by Netanyahu, the West Bank has become a theater of violence against Palestinians, with 1,004 Palestinians killed between 2023 and 2024.

Samia Alqam, an American of Palestinian descent, says that belonging to the land is not paper-based but emotional, emphasizing that the only bond that connects Palestinians around the world is the land.

The wise performance of the Palestinian National Authority in facing the media war

Dr. Ibrahim Nairat

Dr. Ibrahim Nairat

Opinion Writer

In the midst of the ongoing war in Gaza, accompanied by media and political campaigns aimed at distorting the image of Palestinians and forcibly integrating them into the category of hostility towards Israel, the wise performance of the Palestinian Authority and President Mahmoud Abbas emerged as a fundamental pillar in protecting national identity from attempts at erasure and distortion.

The Palestinian leadership recognized that the most dangerous aspect of this war is not limited to scenes of destruction and casualties, but extends to the battle over narrative, where Israel sought to reduce the Palestinian people to a single image and to erase the political and national plurality that forms the essence of the Palestinian cause.

President Abu Mazen, with his long experience and diplomatic presence, chose to engage in this confrontation with the tools of politics and rationality, away from the emotional response that Israel sought to provoke. While some forces were trying to prioritize militarization over other approaches, the Palestinian Authority worked to highlight that the issue is greater than any faction, and that the Palestinian people are too vast to be reduced to a single category. The messages were clear to the world: Palestinians are not a monolithic block of hostility, but a people striving for freedom, justice, and an independent state, within the framework of international law and global legitimacy.

This balanced performance created a new space for Palestinian political movement on the international stage. While the Israeli propaganda machine attempted to demonize Palestinians and label them with collective terrorism, the Palestinian Authority redefined the discussion, asserting that the solution cannot be security or military-based, but rather political, built on the recognition of the legitimate rights of the Palestinian people. Hence, the wave of increasing recognitions of the Palestinian state and international initiatives to end the war confirmed that the narrative Israel tried to impose is no longer the only one on the table.

The wisdom of the Palestinian Authority was evident in that it did not limit itself to rhetoric, but worked to build a network of communications and diplomatic movements that brought Palestine back to the center of global attention. This approach prevented the isolation of the Palestinian people behind a narrow stereotype and reminded the world that Palestinians are a living, diverse people striving for self-determination away from the binary of 'with Israel or against it.' What we are witnessing today in terms of international momentum towards recognizing Palestine and initiatives to end the aggression is not coincidental, but a direct result of a balanced approach that refused to be dragged into explosive narratives.

In the end, what the Palestinian Authority led by President Abu Mazen did was not just a fleeting political stance, but a strategic choice that maintained Palestine's presence on the international stage and thwarted the Israeli narrative that sought to confine all Palestinians to a single category. Through this wise performance, it became clear that the battle is not only on the ground but also in the realm of consciousness, and that victory in the narrative arena is no less important than any other battle.
