Mutual bombing between Hezbollah and Israeli army

Al Jazeera's correspondent reported that the Lebanese Hezbollah targeted - today, Wednesday - with 3 guided missiles the Israeli site of Bayad Blida in the central sector of southern Lebanon, and that clouds of smoke were seen rising from the place.

Media outlets close to the party also reported that the headquarters of the “Zarait” battalion and a gathering of Israeli army vehicles and forces in “Khallet Warda” were targeted with artillery shells and missiles, with confirmed casualties.

On the other hand, the official Lebanese News Agency reported that the outskirts of the towns of Ramia and Aita al-Shaab (south of the country) were subjected to artillery shelling from the Israeli side.

Israeli artillery also bombed the surroundings of the towns of Mays al-Jabal and Aitaroun in the central sector of southern Lebanon.

The Israeli army announced the interception of a surface-to-air missile launched from Lebanese territory towards an Israeli warplane, indicating - in a statement - that the warplanes targeted the source of the missile launch and the group responsible for launching it.

Hezbollah announced yesterday that its operations off the border with Israel - during the past three weeks - resulted in the killing and wounding of 120 Israeli soldiers, the destruction of 9 tanks, and the downing of a drone.

The media published an infographic attributed to the party, which included the tally of the Israeli army’s “losses” on the Lebanese border since last October 8.

According to the infographic, “The party carried out 105 attacks, targeting intelligence and communications systems, jamming systems, and 33 radars.”

Hezbollah was able to "destroy two troop carriers, two Hummers, and 9 tanks, in addition to targeting 120 soldiers, causing them to be killed or wounded, in addition to targeting 105 military sites, destroying 69 communications systems, and destroying 140 surveillance cameras and 17 jamming systems," according to the source.

The Israeli-Lebanese border witnesses intermittent exchanges of fire between the Israeli army on the one hand and Hezbollah and Palestinian factions on the other hand, which led to deaths and injuries on both sides.
