The death toll of earthquake in Morocco rose to 2,122 people
The temporary death toll from the devastating earthquake that struck vast areas south of Marrakesh, Morocco, on Friday night, has risen to at least 2,122 dead as of Sunday afternoon, according to what the Ministry of Interior announced, while rescue and relief operations for survivors continue.
The ministry said in a statement, "In a temporary toll, as of 4 p.m. (15:00 GMT), the number of deaths caused by the earthquake reached 2,122 people, and the number of injured was 2,421."
