"Israel" opens its embassy in Manama
On Monday, Israeli Foreign Minister Eli Cohen inaugurated a permanent headquarters for the Israeli diplomatic mission in Manama, which serves as a full embassy.
According to Reshet Kan, the opening ceremony took place in the presence of Bahraini Foreign Minister Abdullatif Al-Zayani, and Bahraini and Israeli personalities.
Cohen arrived yesterday in Manama, where he was received by Al-Zayani.
Cohen held several meetings with Bahraini officials, including Bahraini Crown Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, and they discussed bilateral relations and the challenges facing the regional situation.
In a related context, the Prime Minister of Papua New Guinea, James Marape, arrived in Tel Aviv, on a visit that will take several days.
Marabi will open an embassy for his country in occupied Jerusalem, according to the Hebrew website Ynet.
This will be the fifth embassy to move to Jerusalem after the United States, Guatemala, Honduras and Kosovo.
