Two Syrian soldiers wounded in Israeli bombing of Damascus
Two Syrian soldiers were injured in the late hours of Tuesday night as a result of an Israeli attack around the capital of Damascus.
According to a statement by the Syrian army, the aerial bombardment was launched from the northern occupied Golan Height, and that missile defense systems managed to intercept most of the missiles.
The Syrian army added that there was material damage on top of the two injuries.
Videos and photos on social media showed fires raging in several locations around the capital, including damage to homes.
Israel has not confirmed that it carries out military action in Syria, though it is understood to target Hezbollah. Local sources said that attack was directed at Iranian facilities in the suburb of Qudsaya and the villages of al-Assad and al-Saboura in the western countryside of Damascus.
