4 administrative detainees from Hebron continue their hunger strike

Today, Monday, the Captive Club said, "4 administrative detainees from Hebron governorate have been continuing their open hunger strike in the cells of (Ofer Prison) for nine days, in rejection of their administrative detention. years), Abdullah Muhammad Abido (36 years old), and Muhammad Ahmed Dandis (25 years old).


The club pointed out in a statement that the detainee Shadeed was arrested three times previously, and all his arrests are administrative, and the total years he spent in the occupation prisons are three years, and during these arrests he carried out two strikes, the first for 90 days in 2016, and the second for 25 days. Noting that he has been detained since March 22, 2023, and an administrative detention order has been issued against him for a period of 6 months. During this period, his lawyer filed an appeal against his administrative detention order, but the court rejected the appeal.


Likewise, the detainee Talhameh is a lawyer and a former prisoner who spent two and a half years in the occupation prisons, and was subjected to interrogation more than once, noting that he is married and the father of two children. He has been detained since March 22, 2023, and an administrative detention order was issued against him for a period of 6 months. During this period, his lawyer filed an appeal. against his administrative detention order, but the court rejected the appeal.


In addition, the detainee Abido is a former prisoner who spent a total of 5 and a half years in the occupation prisons, most of which are under administrative detention. The occupation rearrested him in May 2023. He is married and has five children. An administrative detention order was issued against him for a period of four months.


Alongside them, detainee Dandis continues his hunger strike, noting that he has been detained since March 23, 2023, and this is his first arrest, and an administrative detention order has been issued against him for a period of 6 months.


In this context, the Prisoner's Club confirms that the strike of the four detainees comes with the continued escalation of the crime of administrative detention since last year, and during the current year, the number of administrative detainees, according to the latest data, reached 1083 detainees, including 17 children and three female prisoners.
