An urgent summons message for Israeli soldiers to various military bases sparked a state of panic among the soldiers.

After hours of checking why the soldiers called their bases, canceled vacations, etc., the message was sent due to human error.

An Israeli army spokesman said an investigation had been opened into the incident.
