Family of prisoner Fadi Abu Khalaf, calls for his release

The family of prisoner Fadi Khaled Abu Khalaf (20 years old) from the town of Asira al-Qibliya, south of Nablus, called for urgent intervention from official and human rights institutions to release their sick son, who has been administratively detained for five months.

His father, Khaled Abu Khalaf, expressed his deep concern about his health and his fear of a deterioration in his health in light of the renewal of his administrative detention, stressing that a real danger threatens his sick son due to the policy of medical negligence practiced by the prison administration.

The prisoner Abu Khalaf suffers from heart problems, and previously underwent three heart surgeries, and a battery was implanted to regulate the heartbeat, and he needs special medical care that is not available inside prisons.

He explained that his son was constantly visiting hospitals in the city of Nablus to monitor his health condition, but since his arrest he has not received the necessary medical follow-up, and only gets medicine.

Abu Khalaf was arrested after storming his family's house 5 months ago, and an administrative detention order was issued against him for a period of four months, and when it expired in late March; The occupation renewed his detention for four months, despite his health condition.

It is noteworthy that the occupation authorities arrested his brother, Samed Abu Khalaf (16 years), on the eve of Eid al-Fitr, after he was summoned for an interview, and his family does not have any information about him and the circumstances and place of his arrest.

His father held the Israeli occupation responsible for his son's life, and appealed to the concerned authorities and human rights institutions to intervene to secure his urgent release in order to avoid the deterioration of his health condition.
