The success achieved by this program since its launch at the end of last November has led technology companies to race to provide this technology with advanced capabilities.

Since the end of last February, several specialized media have reported that Elon Musk is investing in the field of artificial intelligence.
And it quoted unnamed sources as saying that Musk recently hired Igor Babushkin and Manuel Kroes, who had previously worked for the “DeepMind” laboratory for artificial intelligence within the “Alphabet” group, the owner of “Google”.

She indicated that Musk recently purchased about ten thousand graphics processors, which are computers necessary to train the language programs on which generative AI systems are based.

This information coincided with Musk signing with hundreds of academics, heads of companies, and personalities at the end of last March a petition in which they called for a six-month cessation of research aimed at finding stronger artificial intelligence techniques than "Chat GPT".

They expressed their fear of the "great dangers this technology poses to humanity," and asked, "Is it intended to develop non-human 'software' that could eventually outpace us in terms of numbers and intelligence and replace us?"

Musk co-founded Open AI in 2015, before leaving the company in 2018. Since 2019, Microsoft has been the main financier of the startup, which is based in California.

The official XAI registration document, dated March 9, 2023, included the name of one director, Elon Musk, and a secretary, Jared Birchall, a former Morgan Stanley banker who manages the billionaire's fortune, according to the Financial Times. .
