The Director in charge of running the Bayt Mal Al-Quds Al-Sharif Agency, Dr. Muhammad Salem Al-Sharqawi, stressed the necessity of drafting a reference document on media terminology for the Palestinian cause, calling for the formation of a committee to draft this document and submit it to the Islamic Conference of Information Ministers for approval and circulation to the media in the member states of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation.

Al-Sharqawi stated that "preserving the Jerusalem concepts and terminology that constitute the history and identity of the Holy City and its present" comes within the tasks of the agency that was entrusted with the responsibility to carry out the duties of protecting and preserving the cultural heritage of the city of Jerusalem, as it is a common heritage of humanity.
