Cairo - (AFP) - On Saturday, Dior presented its fall 2023 collection at the Pyramids of Giza near Cairo, in the first show of the French luxury fashion house in Egypt .

Models dressed in the new collection walked in front of the historic landmark of the famous archaeological site, which was specially lit up for the show.

This is the second show for a European fashion house this year in an Egyptian archaeological landmark.

In October, Italian fashion designer Stefano Ricci presented his collection at the ancient Temple of Hatshepsut in Luxor, southern Egypt.

In recent years, the Giza pyramid complex has hosted concerts and exhibitions of contemporary art in particular, in light of Egypt's efforts to re-attract tourists to the country after the decline in the number of visitors in the years following the revolution of January 25, 2011.
