Tashkent (Xinhua) - More than 4,000 people have been hospitalized in three days in Uzbekistan , due to illnesses caused by the ongoing heat wave since July 17, the press service of the Uzbek Ministry of Health reported on Wednesday.

It is expected that the record heat wave will continue in this country with an extreme continental climate located in Central Asia throughout the week, and the temperature will reach between 45 and 47 degrees Celsius in the southern part and desert areas of the country.
