The right of return is the key to peace in the world

Written by: Faisal Abu Khadra - Member of the National Council

It is impossible for the Palestinians to accept their housing outside their villages and cities in Palestine, and this is the logic and universally accepted, not only according to the United Nations resolutions, but the Palestinian, no matter what material or moral temptations are presented to him, he does not accept and will not accept any generous offer, and the reason is very simple, which is that his land exists Under occupation that has no historical roots in Palestine.

Many Palestinians have non-Palestinian nationalities, but this does not mean that he has forgotten his land, his homeland, and his historical origin in this blessed land.

Zionist leaders said that the generation of the Nakba will die, and their children and grandchildren will be forgotten. But it became clear to the ignorant and to the far and near that everything that is of Palestinian origin is impossible to forget its homeland, and praise be to God that the Palestinian, whether he was a refugee or not, did not and will not forget his country, Palestine.

All successive occupying governments have tried, and are still trying, with their ally America, to cancel (UNRWA) by any trick, claiming that if this is done, then this means the end of the most important file on the right of return.

However, the Palestinian people in all its components, whether they are in the interior or the West Bank and the Jordan Valley, and the Gaza Strip have not and will not give up an inch on the right of return.

The Palestinian people respect all international resolutions, and will never relinquish these decisions, the first of which is the right of return, because this is a divine right, and the mere thought of an alternative homeland or residence outside the land of historical Palestine is illusions in the minds of the occupier or the supporter of the occupier.

Any people on the globe has the right to live in their land, so why does the occupier and supporter of the occupier want the Palestinian people to live in a land that is alien to their land and the land of their fathers and grandfathers, and who has been residing on it since five thousand years BC, who built the port of Jaffa, Haifa or Acre Or Ashdod, they are the Canaanites, our ancestors. As for the Jews, they came to our country, Palestine, in 1118 BC, after the death of our master Moses, and Joshua bin Nun occupied Jericho with the sword.

All Zionists have their origins not in Palestine, but rather the Ashkenazim, which is northern Germany, and they are of Aryan and not Semitic origin, so we see that all of them retain the nationality from which they left for the land of Palestine. The saying of the Promised Land is a heresy invented by Zionism.

It is true to say that the countries of the ring committed a historical mistake against the Palestinian people, by signing a permanent armistice with the occupation without the condition of return, especially since in the year 1949 AD Resolution 194 was issued, and in the same year these countries signed this armistice with the occupier, which equals a catastrophe for the Palestinian people. In order to confront the occupation and the crimes it is committing against our land, our people, and our sanctities, the PLO and the factions that are still outside it must strive for national unity, especially since we are still in the stage of national liberation and the establishment of an independent Palestinian state as an interim solution, after which God will create what you do not know. Everyone must adhere to the right of return because it is the only way at the current stage to liberate the entire land of Palestine.
