Istanbul - "Al Quds" dot com - A source in the " Hamas " movement said today, Friday, that a delegation from the movement will visit Syria during the month of October.

The Turkish Anadolu Agency quoted the source as saying that the delegation's visit comes within the framework of developing relations with Damascus.

He pointed out that the visit will take place after the end of the Palestinian reconciliation talks hosted by Algeria on October 10, without further details.

According to other sources, the delegation will be headed by Khalil al-Haya, responsible for the file of Arab and Islamic relations in Hamas.

Hamas had recently confirmed that there are contacts with the Syrian regime in order to restore relations with it, which sparked a great controversy among journalists, writers, religious and public figures inside and outside Palestine regarding this decision.

Relations between Hamas and Damascus were severed in 2012, following the outbreak of the Syrian revolution.
