New album by Metallica next year, followed by a European and American tour
New York - (AFP) - The American band " Metallica ", one of the most famous heavy metal bands in the world, announced on Monday that it will release a new album next April, in addition to its revival of a concert tour in Europe and North America during the years 2023 and 2024.
The album “72 Seasons” (“72 Seasons”) will be released on April 14, 2023, followed by a concert tour for the band in Amsterdam and Paris (Stade de France on May 17 and 19), Hamburg, Germany, and Sweden, according to two statements by the band and Live Nation Entertainment. Specialized in promoting and selling entertainment tickets.
After the European tour, Metallica will perform concerts in the United States and Canada between August and November 2023 (Los Angeles, Phoenix, Detroit, Montreal...) before returning to concerts in Europe, starting in May 2024 (Munich, Helsinki and Warsaw). and Madrid...), to return once again to North America (Chicago, Seattle, Mexico...) and present offers until September 2024.
The band, whose founders have been performing for 40 years, such as James Hetfield (59 years) and Danish Lars Orlik (58 years), indicated that it will perform two concerts at each station, with different shows during each night.
The band's twelfth album consists of 12 songs, including "Lux Aeterna", which was released on Monday, and is the first album released by "Metallica" after 2016.
James Hetfield explained that the album's title, "72 Seasons," refers to "the first eighteen years of our lives that make up our true or false selves."
And the American singer continued, "Our parents told us + who we are + (...). The essence of our experience as adults is to interact with or relive our childhood experiences. Either we are bound by our childhood or we free ourselves from these bonds."
