Journalists' Forum condemns the policy of combating Palestinian content

Gaza - "Jerusalem" dot com - The Palestinian Media Forum condemned today, Wednesday, the policy of combating Palestinian content in the strongest terms, calling on social media platforms to abandon that, translate their slogans about allowing freedom of opinion and expression on the ground, and abandon the double standards that have so clearly emerged. Debunked and traveled during the Russian-Ukrainian war.

In a statement, the Forum affirmed that the persistence in combating Palestinian content constitutes direct support for the killing of children, innocent civilians, and journalists by the Israeli occupation forces.

He believed that blocking, restricting, and deleting Palestinian content comes as a continuation of the Israeli occupation’s approach to suppressing and killing Palestinian journalists, the latest of whom was colleague Sherine Abu Aqleh and colleague Ghufran Warasneh, in addition to its record of violations and crimes against the Palestinian media and its components, considering that identification with the occupation undermines the values of justice, freedom, and human rights that stipulated by international laws and conventions.

The Palestinian Journalists Forum called on the International Federation of Journalists and human rights organizations to address the approach of suppressing freedom of opinion and expression by social media, especially in light of its blatant bias and open support for the Israeli occupation narrative full of racism and intellectual and moral terrorism against the defenseless Palestinian people except from their will and deep belief in their right to their land and sanctities. , calling on the Palestinian Authority to activate its diplomatic and legal tools to stop the encroachment on the Palestinian narrative.
