The Fatwa Council warns against targeting Palestinian education

Jerusalem - "Al Quds" dot com - The Supreme Fatwa Council warned against targeting Palestinian education in Jerusalem and the rest of the Palestinian territories by canceling the Palestinian curriculum, closing and demolishing schools, and attempts to impose the Israeli curriculum on Palestinian students studying in Jerusalem schools, in order to market the Zionist narrative, related to The alleged religious and historical right of the Jews in the land of Palestine, based on the false narrative of "a land without a people, for a people without a land", and imposing a fait accompli policy on the Palestinians.


The council said, in a statement today, Thursday, that the occupation authorities have set a curriculum for teaching the Israeli spirit, vocabulary and contents to the Arab citizens of the city of Jerusalem after its occupation in 1967, in an attempt to confront the Palestinian narrative, and to impose the Israeli narrative in its place, by various methods and in accordance with the policy of encouragement and intimidation that it follows in The right of Jerusalem schools and their teaching staff on the one hand, and on the other hand, by presenting malicious temptations to Palestinian students and their parents from the city of Jerusalem, denouncing the decision to revoke the licenses of six schools in Jerusalem, and convert them into temporary licenses for a year, claiming that these schools practice incitement in their curricula , while the real goal lies in trying to impose the Israeli curriculum.


The council also condemned the occupation court’s decision to demolish and destroy the Ein Samia Basic School, stressing that these attacks against education and schools represent a heinous crime that is added to the series of ongoing occupation crimes against the educational sector, indicating that these crimes constitute a flagrant violation of students’ right to safe and free education. Calling on international legal, human rights and media institutions and organizations; To assume its legal and moral responsibilities regarding the escalating violations of the occupation, and to work to curb these aggressive practices, expose them and raise them in all forums and fields, and to provide protection and advocacy for our students and educational staff.


It also condemned the deletion by the occupation authorities of articles related to everything related to symbols and Palestinian sovereignty over the city and deleting them, and even Palestinian existence, history, geography and culture. Our Palestinian schools in occupied Jerusalem.


The Council also denounced the decision of the Israeli occupation authorities to implement a plan to seize about (500) dunums of lands west of the town of Abu Dis, east of occupied Jerusalem, in addition to the lands of Ras al-Amud and al-Sawahra, in occupied Jerusalem, in favor of building a new settlement neighborhood, within the framework of the policy of Judaizing the city. and the area surrounding the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque, as a preparation for efforts to control it, and to facilitate the storming of extremist settlers to its courtyards.


He affirmed that the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque was and will remain Islamic and Arab, despite the noses of the occupiers, and that all those who are zealous for their religion and their places of worship will not tire of defending it and protecting it with their lives, calling on the Palestinian people and Muslims around the world to travel to it and bond in it. The Council condemned it. The repeated incursions into Palestinian cities, villages and camps, and the bloodshed of our children in cold blood from short distances and with lethal weapons, asking God Almighty to accept our martyrs in Aliyin, and to prove their families and improve their condolences.


With regard to our captives; The Council called on our people to support the prisoners in all stages of their struggle, especially the prisoners who are on hunger strike, and the sick among them, calling on the international community with its bodies and institutions that concern human beings, their freedom and dignity, to work for the urgent release of all prisoners, and to cleanse the prisons of the occupation, especially children, women and the sick, calling for To the need to preserve their human rights, to always stand by them in order to deliver their messages, and to support their right to treatment, freedom, justice and dignity.
