Prisoners Authority: The prisoner Abu Hamid underwent three chemotherapy sessions, and his condition is rapidly deteriorating
Ramallah - "Jerusalem" dot com - The Commission of Detainees and Ex-Detainees Affairs stated in a report today, Tuesday, that the health condition of the detainee, who suffers from cancer, Abu Hamid, is rapidly deteriorating, and has reached a critical and dangerous stage.
The authority quoted its lawyer, Karim Ajwa, as saying that the prisoner Abu Hamid underwent three chemotherapy sessions, and is scheduled to undergo a fourth session after 10 days, according to the decision of the doctors supervising his condition.
The authority continued that the prisoner Abu Hamid suffers from severe pains in the left side of his chest, and also complains of severe emaciation and his inability to walk and breathe, and he moves around in a wheelchair, and he is permanently attached to an oxygen tube.
The Commission for Detainees and Ex-Detainees Affairs held the prison administration fully responsible for the life and fate of the prisoner Abu Hamid, calling on the institutions of the international community to intervene immediately and urgently in order to release him and put an end to his suffering inside the occupation detention centers.
It is noteworthy that the prisoner Abu Hamid (49 years), from Al-Amari camp in Ramallah, has been detained since 2002 and is sentenced to seven life terms and 50 years in prison. The occupation, the last of which was in 2019, and their mother was denied visiting them for several years, and they lost their father during the years of their detention.
