The prisoner Khalil Awadeh is still in the "Ramla clinic" in a poor health condition

Ramallah - "Jerusalem" dot com - An institution concerned with prisoners confirmed today, Wednesday, that the hunger-striking prisoner, Khalil Muhammad Awawdeh, is still languishing in the Ramla clinic prison, in a very poor health condition.

The Foundation stated that Awadeh was not transferred to a civilian hospital, nor was he visited by delegates of the International Committee of the Red Cross or the United Nations.

Awawda, 40, enters his 150th day of strike, as he was on strike for 111 days, suspended his strike for only a week, and returned to strike after the prison administration refused to find a solution to his case and renewed his administrative detention for a period of 4 months, which is his second renewal.

The occupation authorities had decided to transfer Awadeh for a medical examination, amid serious health conditions from which he suffers. A new trial session will be held for him next Thursday.

This comes, while Palestinian and Egyptian sources confirmed that an Egyptian security delegation is following up on the case of the prisoner, Awawda, in Tel Aviv.

The Egyptian delegation is following up on the implementation of the terms of the cease-fire agreement between Israel and the Islamic Jihad movement, especially with regard to transferring the prisoner, Awadeh, to a general civilian hospital to receive treatment there, in preparation for announcing the end of his hunger strike.
