Al-Hidmi calls for funding development projects to support the steadfastness of Jerusalemites in occupied Jerusalem
Today, Wednesday, Minister of Jerusalem Affairs Fadi Al-Hadmi urged development officials from a number of countries to finance development projects in the occupied city of Jerusalem .
Al-Hidmi briefed the audience on the outcomes of the "Jerusalem Resilience and Development" conference, which was held last month at the headquarters of the League of Arab States in the Egyptian capital, Cairo.
He stressed that what is required is to translate the political positions expressed in this conference into a reality on the ground that the Jerusalemite citizen can touch, and in a way that leads to strengthening his steadfastness in his city. He presented the projects contained within the framework of the plan prepared by the Ministry of Jerusalem Affairs for the period between 2023-2025.
Al-Hidmi said, "We offer projects that can be implemented in the fields of housing, tourism, health, education, women, and youth."
He added, "After the successful convening of the Jerusalem conference, we are now proceeding to the implementation stage, and we realize the aspirations of Jerusalemites for the conference to meet the needs, with the aim of strengthening their steadfastness in light of the Israeli right-wing policies targeting their existence."
He continued, "We want to work in a consistent manner so that this conference will be different, and we hope that Maqdisi will actually touch this matter before speaking. The conference is not in its convening, but rather the process of following up its results through effective mechanisms."
Al-Hidmi also urged the participants to support the implementation of projects, whether through development aid or through partnerships with Jerusalemite businessmen in particular, and the Palestinians in general, especially in the tourism and housing sectors.
