Prime Minister Muhammad Shtayyeh , Secretary of the Executive Committee of the PLO, Hussein Al-Sheikh , met with the US Special Representative for Palestinian Affairs, Hadi Amr, and his accompanying delegation.

This was done in two separate meetings, where Shtayyeh called for the need to put pressure on Israel to stop its unilateral measures and to abide by the signed agreements.

Shtayyeh said, "Our people are living under unprecedented pressures, in terms of Israeli violations, including the escalation of settlements, killings, incursions, house demolitions, and land confiscations. On the financial level, there is a rise in the volume of illegal Israeli deductions from Palestinian tax funds, a sharp decline in foreign aid funds, and an increase in prices and inflation over world class.”

The Prime Minister called for serious American pressure on the Israeli government to stop all violations against the Palestinian people, and to release the Palestinian money that it deducts illegally.

The two parties discussed ways to ensure the success of the Donors' Meeting (AHLC) to be held next May in the Belgian capital, Brussels.

While the Sheikh discussed with the American envoy many regional and international issues and files, bilateral relations and the latest developments after the Aqaba Conference.

This meeting was held in preparation for the five-party meeting in Sharm El-Sheikh on Sunday.
