Updated: Two citizens injured in settler attack south of Nablus
- Two citizens were injured, and three houses and a poultry farm were burned, in an attack by settlers on the village of Jalud, south of Nablus, in the northern West Bank, on Saturday evening.
The Red Crescent in Nablus reported that two citizens were injured and bruised in the face and head after settlers attacked them in Jalud, and they were transferred to the hospital.
The head of the Jalud village council, Raed Haj Muhammad, said that settlers attacked the eastern side of the village and set fire to three houses, a poultry farm, and agricultural lands in the vicinity.
He added that the settlers detained a number of residents for a period of time, while several families who were picking olives in that area were unable to reach their homes due to the fire.
Since October 7, 2023, the occupation forces and settlers have carried out a total of 16,663 attacks, resulting in the martyrdom of 19 citizens at the hands of settlers.
The occupation forces and settlers also caused a total of 275 fires to citizens’ properties and fields, concentrated in the governorates of Nablus with 120 fires, then Ramallah with 42 fires, and Jenin with 26 fires, according to the Wall and Settlement Resistance Commission.
