Guterreshold!
Israel has been brandishing the scarecrow of anti-Semitism in the face of anyone who dares to criticize its policies or demand that it stop the crimes of genocide that it continues to commit.
Portuguese good Antonio Guterres, Secretary-General of the United Nations, has been exposed more than once to the fire of Israeli bullying, which accused UNRWA, the relief arm of the international organization he heads, of supporting the Hamas movement, and launched a campaign to demonize it to prevent it from continuing its humanitarian work towards refugees, and targeted its headquarters, and killed, arrested and abused its employees.
Guterres did not back down from his positions, nor did he give up his principles and humanity, which he expressed in word and deed in his demands that Israel immediately stop its crimes, and his arrival as the first international official to the Rafah crossing, where he demanded from there to stop the crimes of genocide.
However, Israel, fed up with the man, took the initiative to declare him “persona non grata,” as stated in a tweet by its Foreign Minister, Israel Katz, the day before yesterday. He had previously attacked the wise European politician, Josep Borrell, for his sympathetic positions towards the victims of the raging genocide in the Gaza Strip, which tomorrow will end its first year of killing, starvation, and destruction unprecedented in the history of wars.
The Israeli position on Guterres stirs up memories that are not so distant, dating back to the early 1960s, when Dag Hammarskjöld, the second Secretary-General of the United Nations, was killed in a mysterious plane crash in the Congo after taking noble positions when he threatened to resign in protest against the tripartite aggression against Egypt.
Thank you to Guterres and Borrell for their noble positions and to all those who support the values of truth, justice and freedom.
