Israeli occupation continues its siege and aggression on Tubas

The Israeli occupation forces continue their aggression and siege on the city of Tubas for 20 hours.


Local sources reported that the occupation forces have been closing all entrances to the city of Tubas since midnight last night, imposing a curfew and continuing to besiege the Tubas Turkish Governmental Hospital.


She added that the occupation forces are deployed in the city, and are deploying snipers on the roofs of a number of buildings that they have turned into military barracks. The occupation bulldozers have also begun destroying and vandalizing vehicles and citizens' property in a number of the city's neighborhoods.


The director of the Prisoners Club in Tubas, Kamal Bani Odeh, said that the occupation forces arrested six citizens: Ayser Izzat Hamed Muslimani (34 years old), Amir Basem Najib Muslimani (23 years old), Qutaiba Jihad Suleiman Abu Bishara (21 years old), Ammar Ghaleb Mustafa Sawafta (36 years old), and Muhammad Wael Ghazi Abdul Razek (21 years old), in addition to arresting the young man Ahmed Bilal Muhammad Issa after blowing up his private vehicle, while other citizens were detained and released later.


At dawn, the occupation forces bombed a group of citizens near Al-Tawhid Mosque in the city of Tubas, which led to the martyrdom of five citizens: Muhammad Saeed Hussein Sawafta (19 years old), Majd Burhan Jamil Sawafta (23 years old), Qais Saeb Rateb Sawafta (24 years old), Yassin Ahmed Ali Sawafta (22 years old), and Talaba Mahmoud Jamil Basharat (18 years old).


Since Wednesday, August 28, the occupation forces have launched a large-scale aggression on the West Bank, especially the governorates of Tulkarm, Jenin and Tubas, which has so far resulted in the martyrdom of 47 citizens, including 21 from Jenin, 9 from Tulkarm, 13 from Tubas, 3 from Hebron, and a female martyr from Nablus, raising the death toll in the West Bank, including Jerusalem, since October 7, 2023 to 699, including 159 children, 10 women, and 9 elderly people.
