Jordan: Israel's violations must not pass without an international response to deter it
The Jordanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates condemned in the strongest terms the continued systematic aggressive attacks on Palestinians and their cities in the occupied Palestinian territories, and the deliberate barbaric destruction of Palestinian infrastructure in cities in the northern West Bank, stressing that Israel's serious violations of international humanitarian law must not pass without an international response that deters it and its racist, nihilistic government ministers with abhorrent exclusionary ideology.
The official spokesman for the ministry, Ambassador Sufian Al-Qudah, said that Israel is persisting in its violations and attacks on the Palestinians, in light of the continuation of its aggressive war on the Gaza Strip, and in conjunction with the ongoing incitement campaign practiced by extremist ministers in the Israeli government, which is consecrating the occupation of Palestinian lands through expanding the construction of settlements and legitimizing them, which portends further deterioration and expansion of the conflict. Al-Qudah stressed that the continuation of the Israeli occupation of Palestinian lands is the basis of evil and its end is a requirement for achieving security and stability in the region.
The judges stressed that the unilateral Israeli practices, racist statements and false allegations that ministers in the Israeli government continue to launch, through which they seek to impose new facts that perpetuate the occupation and incite against the Palestinians, are rejected and condemned and require international sanctions to be imposed on those who launch them.
He also stressed that the eviction and displacement of Palestinians constitutes a flagrant violation of international law and international humanitarian law, stressing that Israel, as the occupying power, is obligated under international law to protect the rights of Palestinians in their homes.
Ambassador Al-Qudah stressed the need for the international community and the Security Council to move to provide the necessary protection for the Palestinian people, stop Israeli violations, hold perpetrators accountable and ensure that they do not escape punishment, and work seriously to fulfill the legitimate rights of the Palestinian people to establish their independent, sovereign state on the lines of June 4, 1967, with occupied Jerusalem as its capital.
