The Ministry of Health announced the arrival of polio vaccines to the Gaza Strip on Sunday evening. They were stored in a vaccine warehouse designated for the vaccination campaign, in coordination with UNICEF.

The ministry stated in a statement that the first batch of vaccines, amounting to 1.26 million doses, had arrived, and that work was underway to provide another 365,000 doses in the coming few days, noting that the campaign targets 640,000 children, and two doses of the vaccine will be given to each child from one day old to 10 years old.

The ministry added that it is working around the clock to coordinate with international health partners to launch the campaign within the next few days, without endangering the lives of health personnel as a result of the occupation's ongoing aggression on the Strip.

The Ministry of Health renewed its appeals to the international community and international organizations to increase pressure on the occupation authorities to stop the aggression and facilitate the mission of health personnel in the Gaza Strip.
