Washington: Israeli settler attacks on civilians in the West Bank are "unacceptable"

The White House described the settlers' attack on the village of Jit, east of Qalqilya, as "unacceptable."

This came in response by the White House spokesman, today, Friday, to a question from journalists about the American position regarding the settlers’ attack.

"The violent attacks by settlers against Palestinian civilians in the West Bank are unacceptable and must stop, and the Israeli authorities must take the necessary measures to protect all residents," the spokesman said, also calling on Israel to "take steps to prevent the recurrence of such attacks and hold their perpetrators accountable."

It is noteworthy that settlers attacked the village of Jit last night, under the protection of the occupation forces, and fired live bullets at the citizens, which led to the martyrdom of the young man Rashid Sedda (23 years old) and the injury of others, one of whom was seriously injured, in addition to burning a number of citizens’ homes and vehicles.
