Gaza is the twin of Hiroshima/Nagasaki
The Japanese city of Nagasaki did well when it decided not to invite the ambassador of the occupying entity to attend the annual memorial service to commemorate the anniversary of the atomic bomb dropped on the city by the United States on August 9, 1945...
The United States killed about 140,000 Japanese people with the atomic bombing, a nuclear attack on the city of Hiroshima on August 6. Three days later, the second bomb was dropped on the city of Nagasaki, causing the death of 80,000 people, all because of the refusal to implement the Potsdam Conference Declaration, which stipulated that Japan surrender completely and without any conditions. However, Japanese Prime Minister Suzuki rejected this report and ignored the deadline set by the Potsdam Declaration. Under the executive order issued by President Harry Truman, the United States launched the atomic weapon on the two cities, causing a humanitarian disaster that will not be forgotten throughout history.
The refusal of the city of Nagasaki to invite the occupation ambassador to attend the memorial service for this tragic anniversary is considered a strong and strongly worded message to the occupying entity due to its continued commission of crimes and massacres in the Gaza Strip, without any mercy, which resulted in the martyrdom and injury of more than 140 thousand Palestinians since October 7th.
There are many similarities between Hiroshima, Nagasaki and the Gaza Strip. While Japan commemorates the 79th anniversary of the victims of the two atomic bombs, the war of extermination waged by the Israeli occupation is raging on the Gaza Strip, so that the scenes of massacres and widespread destruction that have befallen the Strip are similar to what was witnessed by the two stricken cities of Hiroshima and Nagasaki.
If Hiroshima became a symbol of mass destruction and mass killing in the twentieth century, then the Gaza Strip was and will remain in the twenty-first century a model of the war of genocide that Israel has been waging since last October 7.
Today, the scenes of the Israeli war on the afflicted Gaza remind us of the tragedy of Hiroshima, Japan, with the difference in the weapons used. Hiroshima was the victim of an American atomic bomb, while Israeli and American shells and missiles continue to destroy the Gaza Strip, leaving behind massive and horrific destruction. The explosives dropped by the Israeli occupation on the Strip are equivalent to five times the two atomic bombs dropped on Hiroshima and Nagasaki. This makes the similarity between the crimes of Hiroshima/Nagasaki and the Gaza Strip very great, in terms of the comprehensive genocide and unprecedented destruction of facilities and infrastructure, which is accompanied by international silence and inability to put an end to the crimes of the occupation and its violations of international law, and to hold it accountable and punish it for its crimes, in addition to the failure to hold the United States accountable after its heinous crime against the two Japanese cities. The United States is the common denominator in both cases, because it is responsible for supplying the Israeli army with the deadly and destructive weapons that destroyed the livelihoods of the Gazans, their facilities and their homes. Their schools and centers, where about 157 thousand buildings were destroyed, between total and partial destruction, in addition to the displacement of tens of thousands of them, and at the same time it killed the Japanese in Hiroshima and Nagasaki.
If the United States of America has not been punished for the crime of genocide in Hiroshima and Nagasaki, Israel has not been punished yet for the ongoing crime of genocide in the Gaza Strip, and it enjoys clear American support to continue its aggression, ignoring the UN Security Council resolution and the orders of the International Court of Justice to take measures to prevent acts of genocide, so that Israel and the United States disregard every diplomatic solution and continue to establish the approach of killing, slaughter and destruction, as if we are in the law of the jungle, although we live in the twenty-first century.
We say to Israel and the United States behind it: Stop disregarding the lives of the world. It is time for the international and national will and the free peoples of the world to oblige you to stop the bloodshed and the war of extermination in Gaza, which is considered the twin of Hiroshima and Nagasaki in terms of the historical injustice that has befallen it.
Thanks to Japan, the friend of the Palestinian people, for this position that will be recorded in the archives of good relations between the Palestinian and Japanese peoples. No condolences to the occupation, its ambassador and its leaders.
