Al Qassam targets Netzarim and Israeli attempts to infiltrate southern Gaza

Today, Monday, the Israeli occupation army carried out intensive shelling of several areas in the Gaza Strip, coinciding with new attempts at ground incursion, while the Palestinian resistance announced targeting the invading forces in the Tal al-Hawa neighborhood and east of Khan Yunis, as well as the command rooms in the Netzarim axis.

The Israeli army announced that 5 of its soldiers were injured in the battles in the Gaza Strip during the past 24 hours.

According to the tally that the army allowed to be published, the total number of injuries since the beginning of the war on Gaza last October has reached 4,234, including 2,165 injuries since the beginning of the ground attack on the Strip.

689 Israeli soldiers and officers have been killed since the start of the war, including 329 since the start of the ground offensive.

Scenes of resistance operations

For its part, the Al-Qassam Brigades, the military wing of the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas), said that it targeted today the command rooms of the occupation forces in the Netzarim axis, south of Gaza City, with short-range "Rajum" missiles of 114 mm caliber.

Al-Qassam broadcasted footage that it said showed its shelling of the Netzarim axis with Rajum missiles, as well as the forces stationed in the Jhar al-Dik area in the central Gaza Strip, with mortar shells.

The Al-Qassam Brigades also reported that it had shelled the occupation forces that had penetrated the vicinity of Al-Dhilal Mosque, east of Khan Yunis, in the southern Gaza Strip, with mortar shells.

At the same time, the Al-Quds Brigades, the military wing of the Islamic Jihad Movement, announced that it had bombarded with a barrage of mortar shells the occupation vehicles and soldiers who had penetrated east of Khan Yunis, and in the Tal al-Hawa neighborhood southwest of Gaza City.

The Brigades said that its fighters were able to snipe two Israeli soldiers, one of them in the incursion axis in the Tal al-Hawa neighborhood, and the other in the Bani Suhaila axis east of Khan Yunis.

The occupation forces bombed several areas today. In Gaza City, Israeli warships bombed the city's coast, and the southwestern neighborhoods witnessed heavy artillery shelling.

Forced eviction

In the middle of the Strip, residential areas were subjected to artillery shelling, and the Israeli army forced thousands of residents to evacuate their areas under the pretext of starting a military operation in the Bureij camp.

The occupation forces destroyed a residential block in the camp, and photos obtained by Al Jazeera showed the extent of the destruction in the block, which is located in the "Block 12" area of the camp.

Al Jazeera's correspondent reported that the occupation forces also blew up houses in the Sheikh Nasser neighbourhood, east of Khan Yunis, in the southern Gaza Strip.

Medical sources told Al Jazeera that 22 Palestinians were killed as a result of the Israeli bombing of several areas in the Gaza Strip since dawn on Monday.

In Khan Yunis, 5 Palestinians were killed and others were injured in Israeli artillery shelling that targeted Abu Hamid roundabout east of the city.

Bombing near a school

Five Palestinians, including a child, were killed in an Israeli bombardment that targeted them this morning near Al-Firdaws School, west of Rafah city, in the southern Gaza Strip.

A Palestinian was killed and others were injured when the occupation forces bombed a group of civilians near the Kuwait roundabout in the Zeitoun neighborhood, south of Gaza City.

The Ministry of Health in the Gaza Strip said this afternoon that the Israeli occupation committed 3 massacres against Palestinian families in the Strip, resulting in 39 dead and 93 injuries arriving at hospitals within 4 hours.

According to the ministry, the death toll from the war has risen to 39,363 dead and 90,923 wounded.
