Israeli occupation forces storm Sinjil, arrest 3 Palestinians, raid homes and confiscate vehicles
Today, Friday, the Israeli occupation forces stormed the town of Sinjil, northeast of Ramallah, raided a number of citizens’ homes, arrested 3 of them, and confiscated vehicles.
Sinjil Mayor Moataz Abdel Rahman said that the occupation forces stormed the town while firing sound bombs and tear gas, and also assaulted a number of young men, which led to injuries and suffocation, and they were transferred to the town's medical center to receive treatment.
He stated that the occupation raided two houses in Sinjil and turned them into military barracks, and subjected those inside them to investigation, before arresting 3 citizens: Sami Shabana, Qusay Shabana, and Ibrahim Shabana.
Abdul Rahman pointed out that the occupation army confiscated 10 vehicles during the storming of the town.
Since Thursday evening, the occupation army has been carrying out repeated raids on Sinjil, during which it has closed the town’s entrances, set up military checkpoints on its roads, searched vehicles, and checked citizens’ identities.
According to the mayor of Sinjil, the occupation army has been repeatedly storming the town for about 40 days, in the morning and evening, with the aim of imposing a new military reality, which allows the settlers to wreak havoc on the lands north of the town, which the residents are prevented from reaching and which are estimated to be around 9,000 dunams in area.
