The Israeli Army: Half of Hamas's manpower is fine, and the movement maintains missiles that can reach Tel Aviv
Israeli army estimates indicate that Hamas still possesses missiles with a range that can reach Tel Aviv and occupied Jerusalem, and that half of the movement's manpower is still alive.
This comes more than nine months after the start of the Israeli war on the Gaza Strip, which resulted in the death and injury of tens of thousands.
Israeli army estimates, issued on Tuesday evening, indicate that three of the "Al-Qassam Brigades" are still unable to be destroyed by its forces. It also shows that, so far, 14,000 fighters have been killed or arrested since October 7, including about 30,000 Hamas members, and several thousand others from “Islamic Jihad” and other Palestinian factions.
According to Israeli estimates, among the martyrs were “six brigade commanders, more than 20 battalion commanders, and about 150 company commanders.”
Hamas is reproducing weapons
The Israeli army said, "Hamas has returned to producing anti-aircraft weapons, including explosive drones, and has repositioned them in shelters for the displaced, and there we repeatedly attack using the methods we have developed, with precise raids, and pursuing firing squads."
He stated, "The level of Hamas launching rockets has decreased to what we saw in 2007, with a small number of saboteurs hastily opening (rocket launching pads) in an open area and shooting, and in a short time we eliminate them."
Attacking about 37 thousand targets from the air
The Israeli army spokesman said, following summaries of the data: “Thanks to a precise and effective intelligence and operational effort, half of the leadership of Hamas’s military wing has been eliminated up to this stage of the war.”
He stated that the army "continues the important mission of pursuing senior leaders of the Hamas organization, as part of the goal of dismantling the organization's capabilities. To date, the Israeli army has attacked about 37,000 targets from the air in the Gaza Strip, more than 25,000 infrastructure, and terrorist launch sites."
He pointed out that "the Israeli army is focusing its efforts on locating saboteurs stationed in sensitive locations throughout the Strip, including hospitals, schools, and humanitarian shelters."
Acknowledgment of the bombing of shelter centers
The occupation army admitted to bombing shelter centers in Gaza and schools, and claimed that there were “shelters for the displaced in which Hamas had opened military production halls,” stressing: “We attacked some of the shelters for these displaced people five or seven times repeatedly, last month.”
The Israeli army referred to a massacre it had committed in Nuseirat, and said: “In one of these attacks in Nuseirat, we killed 40 terrorists, half of whom were planning a major attack on Israeli army forces in Gaza.”
He stated, "In these shelters, there are many development centers affiliated with Hamas, which we continue to pursue and eliminate."
He said, "Over the past two weeks, about a thousand terrorists were killed in the Gaza Strip, coinciding with the operations of four (Israeli army) divisions" in the Strip.
Tunnels and the Philadelphia Axis
While the Israeli army stated that “the pace of discovering and destroying Hamas’ underground bases in the Gaza Strip has improved in recent months,” it stressed that they are “ammunition production factories, offices... and crossings between villages and warehouses; they are all underground.”
He stressed, "We have more work to do against the terrorist army that has barricaded itself for 20 years."
He promised, "There are clear signs of breakage, because it is difficult, and it is also humid and hot, for (a person) to remain underground for 9 months."
Rafah
While the Israeli army said, “Hamas has exhausted its weapons and militants,” noting that most of Hamas’ brigades were exposed to severe damage in the ground invasion, and after that in the raids that are still continuing on the Gaza Strip, there are still 3 brigades that the Israeli army considers that their level of efficiency is still high. .
As for the four battalions that the occupation claimed were Hamas brigades in Rafah, they have not been eliminated yet, but estimates indicate that the ground operations against them, which have been ongoing for about two months, have greatly weakened their ability to operate as a battalion framework.
The army explained that it was focusing its efforts in Rafah in the Tal al-Sultan Battalion, and said: “In Rafah, we initially found entire streets filled with explosive devices, then we realized this.”
The Israeli army said that the neighborhoods in Rafah are already besieged, noting that "there are only less than 30,000 Gazans left in all of Rafah."
The extensive operation of the 162nd Division in Rafah is expected to end soon, and there the pattern of frequent raids, which are scheduled to be carried out over the next few years, will also continue.
According to the Israeli army, these raids significantly deepened the damage to the capabilities of the Hamas movement.
The three battalions are one between southern Khan Yunis and Rafah, and two battalions in Deir al-Balah and Nuseirat, and the Israeli army indicated that it may carry out operations against them.
