Israel is rapidly turning into fascism
The Israeli occupation state exploited the events of October 7 to move forward in the transition from the concept of the liberal state to the concept of the fascist state, and it seemed clear to everyone that the harbingers of this transformation began from the beginning of the alliance between Likud and religious Zionism, after the elections for the thirty-seventh Knesset that took place in 2022, where it was exploited. Netanyahu created this alliance in the events of October to carry out many radical transformations in the structure of the Israeli regime towards what can be called Zionist fascism.
The elements of Zionist fascism, the features of which have begun to take root in the structure of the Israeli regime, are based on the following:
1- Glorifying the Israeli-Jewish state, and magnifying its status in the face of internal and external enemies.
2- Extensive use of violence, killing, and genocide against the enemy, whether Palestinian, Iranian, or others.
3- The continued occupation of the Palestinian territories, preventing any real opportunities for peace.
4- Eliminating the concept of a Palestinian state, and the chances of achieving it, in exchange for continuing the policy of apartheid and forced displacement.
5- Using the Jewish religion - as an ideological framework - in mass mobilization, spreading hate speech and violence, and glorifying the Jewish state.
6- Gradually abolishing the liberal and democratic model of the state by eliminating opposition and pluralism, abolishing reform laws, reducing the powers of the courts and oversight, and staying away from elections as much as possible.
As can be seen from the presentation of the elements of modern Zionist fascism, its main theme is confronting the Palestinian, killing him, and expelling him from his land. It is a mistake to imagine that only the current Israeli government is adopting them. Rather, the entire Israeli street has become more inclined to adopt these elements, especially since October 7th. For example, Israeli opinion polls indicate that only 2% of Israeli respondents consider that what the occupation forces are doing in Gaza is an excessive use of force. Also, more than 67% of Israelis support Netanyahu in his war in the Gaza Strip, and an approximately similar percentage calls on the Israeli army to declare war against Hezbollah and occupy southern Lebanon.
Not only that, but the majority of the Israeli media addresses the issue of genocide in the Gaza Strip as a victory over the Palestinians, and this is exactly what our colleague Abdel Majeed Sweilem addressed in his recent article with criticism and analysis, considering it a partner in this war.
From another angle, if you follow Israeli social media users, you will find that the majority of them talk about killing Palestinian civilians, considering the entire Palestinian people as “terrorists,” including women and children.
Rather, they openly demand the displacement of Palestinians from the West Bank and Gaza to Jordan and Sinai to avoid killing. The policy of starvation of the Palestinians has become for them a “moral” means to get rid of the threat of Palestinian “terrorists,” as they say! Ethnic cleansing has also become a “moral” means for them to avoid killing civilians!
What I would like to present in this article is that radical transformations towards Zionist fascism have affected not only the structure of the Israeli political system, but also its social, economic, and cultural environment, and Israel is on the brink of falling into the slide of dictatorship, just as happened with the shirt owners. Blacks in Mussolini's Fascist Republic. Perhaps this explains the warning of the head of the “Yisrael Beytenu” party, Lieberman, when he said, “If the current Netanyahu government continues, Israel will not exist in the year 2026.” This also explains the shrinking gap in opinion polls between Gantz, from the center-right, and Netanyahu, from the fascist right. To only 5 points, and this also explains why Netanyahu continues to get rid of his opponents within Likud and in the government, and even in the Israeli media stations, as happened recently with the Israeli Channel 13.
Radical transformations towards Zionist fascism have affected not only the structure of the Israeli political system, but also its social, economic, and cultural environment, and Israel is on the brink of falling into the slide of dictatorship.
