UNRWA: Every day, Gazans line up for hours under the sun to fetch drinking water
The United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) said, “Every morning, residents of the Gaza Strip line up for hours under the blazing sun to fill containers with drinking water, then walk long distances carrying heavy weights.”
UNRWA added, in a post on its account on the “X” platform: “After filling drinking water, many Gazans are forced to walk long distances carrying heavy weights in the summer heat.”
The UN agency stressed: This "exhausting routine is repeated over and over again in Gaza."
