The exchange agreement to stop the war and the future of Gaza

Since Netanyahu declared the war of extermination on the Gaza Strip, which claimed more than 120,000 martyrs and wounded, and destroyed all elements of life there, it was clear that Netanyahu did not want this war to end.

The resistance forces did well when they announced on May 6th their approval of the mediators’ proposal, which Netanyahu rejected by hastily invading the city of Rafah, taking control of its border crossing with Egypt, and gradually enforcing its full control over the Philadelphia axis, in an attempt to impose new facts that led to the closure of the crossing. To date, the entry of relief aid through it has stopped, and nearly a million displaced persons who had previously sought refuge in its homes and tents in search of life have been re-displaced.

After Biden announced what became known as the “Biden Initiative” for a ceasefire, and took the proposal to the Security Council, Hamas was quick to welcome the almost unanimous decision as long as it included the basic elements of the demands of the Palestinian people and their courageous resistance, represented by a complete cessation of the war, and a comprehensive Israeli withdrawal from the Gaza Strip. And reaching a serious deal to exchange prisoners and ensure the flow of relief and shelter aid, leading to reconstruction, which is in fact the construction of the new Gaza Strip after the occupation army completely destroyed it.

Netanyahu remained silent, waiting for an opportunity that would enable him to sabotage the agreement and continue the war, in contradiction to what was stated in the Security Council resolution, which stipulated the continuation of the ceasefire as long as negotiations continued on the elements of implementing the second phase, which Hamas accepted, thus showing flexibility that confirms its keenness to stop. The war of annihilation that our people are facing in the Gaza Strip, despite the resistance forces’ ability to confront war and harm the invading forces, as happened in more than one battle from the north to the south of the Gaza Strip, during which the occupation army realized the resistance’s ability to rebuild its forces, with explicit acknowledgment by the leaders of the Gaza Strip. This army.

Unlike the opposition that Gantz joined, and with them most of the leaders of the occupation army, according to what was published by the New York Times, Netanyahu and his fascist government group remained alone in their evasive position regarding the exchange deal and the necessity of stopping the war, which from their point of view has exhausted its purposes and failed to achieve any of its goals. The announcement, with the exception of the genocide it left behind, plunged Israel into an unprecedented quagmire among international public opinion and the International Courts of Justice and Criminal Courts, and made it a pariah state.

In light of this Israeli failure, despite all Western support, which also gradually began to recede in terms of the necessity of stopping the war, which also began to tarnish the standing of Washington and Western capitals, Hamas continued its tactical flexibility to overcome the negotiating knot without prejudice to the basic elements of the requirements for stopping the war, withdrawal, exchange, relief, and reconstruction, as it applied With that flexibility, once again, the stranglehold on Netanyahu’s intentions to continue the war of extermination, not to ensure security or recover the prisoners and detainees held by the resistance, but rather to save his personal future, which exposed his game to dissipate the deal, according to the view of the growing majority in Israeli society, which did not stop demonstrating to complete it and prevent it. Netanyahu missed it. Here comes our national responsibility to deepen the dilemma of Netanyahu and his expansionist plans to eliminate Palestine and its people, which forces the national community to submit to the popular will by mobilizing all energies in the crucible of comprehensive national unity from all patriots, without bets that have been proven futile for years.

Suffering beyond human endurance

On the other hand, as the suffering of the people of Gaza has reached an unbearable peak, and the Strip lacks any of the elements of life as a result of the ongoing genocidal war, people cannot be blamed for screaming in intense pain, as this is nothing but additional evidence of their humanity and clinging to a decent life. It realizes that this can be achieved by stopping the war, but before and after that, in all cases, it requires a national consensus that protects its sacrifices and restores its hope in paving the way for the unity of the national entity and its inclusive institutions. Our people, with their long experience and unerring patriotic and humanitarian sense, are fully aware that this is the national choice. The only one capable of not only rebuilding Gaza, but also rebuilding the national movement, and restoring its expected role in overthrowing the displacement plans, and the guardianship and separatist scenarios that constitute the core of the ideology of Netanyahu and his fascist group, to block the path to pushing the shifts in international public opinion towards the inevitability of ending the occupation, and enabling our Palestinian people to decide. His destiny and to live in freedom and dignity in his independent state with Jerusalem as its capital on the 1967 borders, and all his other national rights, as defined by international legitimacy and the rules of international law, including the right of return in accordance with Resolution 194, and what this requires of the return of Gaza once again to the heart of the national entity and a lever for its inclusive institutions. .

Yes, despite all the challenges and sacrifices, there is an opportunity that is nationally forbidden to allow to be squandered. If the policy of turning back on the will and aspirations of the overwhelming popular majority for unity and consensus continues, then national responsibility requires unifying the efforts and initiatives of all patriots to force those who dominate the national decision to return from their failed bets and their narrow factional interests that have always caused the greatest damage to our cause, and are almost overthrowing our entire national destiny.

Hamas continued its tactical flexibility to overcome the negotiating knot without disturbing the basic elements of the requirements for stopping the war, withdrawal, exchange, relief and reconstruction, as it once again tightened the noose on Netanyahu’s intentions.
