World Food: Half a million people in Gaza face “catastrophic levels of hunger”
The World Food Program said on Monday that "half a million people in the Gaza Strip face catastrophic levels of hunger."
The UN program added, in a post on its account on the X platform, that Palestinian families in Gaza often do not receive full food rations on a continuous basis.
"Unreliable access to humanitarian aid and limited stocks prevent families in Gaza from getting the food rations they need," the World Food Organization explained.
Last June, the World Food Program provided aid to one million people, but it says that this is "not enough."
The UN program concluded by renewing the call for an immediate ceasefire in Gaza.
