With the participation of the editor-in-chief of Al-Quds newspaper, the opening of the Jordan Forum for Media and Digital Communication
The “Jordan Forum for Media and Digital Communication” opens today, Tuesday, in the Jordanian capital, Amman, with its agenda under the patronage of Jordanian Prime Minister Dr. Bisher Al-Khasawneh, and will continue until tomorrow, Wednesday, with eight sessions, one of which will be attended by the editor-in-chief of Al-Quds newspaper and its digital platforms, Dr. Ibrahim Melhem.
The Minister of Government Communications, Professor Dr. Muhannad Al-Mubaideen, will deliver the opening speech, then a video will be shown about the development of the media in Jordan during the twenty-five years of the Jordanian King Abdullah II assuming his constitutional powers, and media institutions, figures, and sponsors of the forum will be honored.
After that, the first session entitled “Media and Decision-Making in the World” will be opened, in which the following will speak: the CEO of Communications and Government Relations at Abu Dhabi Media Network, Abdul Rahim Al Nuaimi, the former Minister of Information Affairs, Dr. Muhammad Al-Momani, and the former Lebanese Minister of Information, Dr. Manal. Abdel Samad, and the session will be moderated by media personality and university professor of media, Dr. Hani Al-Badri.
As for the second session, entitled “The Digital Age from a Cultural and Media Perspective,” the speakers will be: the Secretary General of the Sheikh Zayed Book Award, Dr. Ali bin Tamim, the Cultural Program Officer at the Gulf Research Center and the writer for the Makkah newspaper, Dr. Zaid Al-Fadhil, and the General Director of the Russia Channel. Today, Al Arabiya is Maya Manna, and the session is moderated by Areej Al-Qassim, presenter of the “Baad Al-Khair” program on Al-Mamlaka Channel.
The third session is titled “Media and the Challenges of Digitization,” and speakers are: Editor-in-Chief of Al-Roya Al-Eqtisadiah newspaper, Muhammad Al-Hammadi, Publisher and Editor-in-Chief of the Ammon website, Samir Al-Hiyari, Editor-in-Chief of Al-Ghad newspaper, Makram Al-Tarawneh, and co-founder and CEO of Mawdoo3 Company, Rami Al-Qawasmi. The session is moderated by media professor Shatha. Shibli Al-Azzam.
In the fourth session, titled “From Social Media to Interactive Communication,” speakers will be: the presenter of the “Your Interaction” program on the Al Arabiya channel, Sarah Al-Dandarawi, the founder of the pangeanis platform, Dr. Muhammad Al-Arab, the chief Reuters correspondent in Jordan and Syria, Suleiman Al-Khalidi, and the professor of media at the University of... Yarmouk Dr. Nahida Makhamda, and the session is moderated by the presenter of the “jo@” program on Al-Mamlaka Channel, Muhammad Hatamleh.
In the fifth session, entitled “Media in a Time of Crisis,” the speakers are: General Director of TRT Arabi Channel, Ibrahim Kilic, General Director of Al-Mashhad Channel, Tony Khalifa, General Director of Al-Mamlaka Channel, Dana Al-Sayyagh, and Editor-in-Chief of Al-Arabi Al-Jadeed newspaper and website, Maan Al-Biyari. The session is moderated by the Director of Remarks political violence analysis group and former BBC roving correspondent Murad Batal Al-Shishani.
As for the sixth session, entitled “Media and Information Literacy in the Digital Space... Experiences and Practices,” speakers will be: Professor of Media at the British University - Egypt, Dr. Naglaa Al-Omari, Advisor in Media and Information Literacy, Bayan Al-Tall, and Professor of Media Education at Al-Bayt University, Dr. Reem Al-Zoubi, News Director of Roya Channel, Saad Hattar, and the session is moderated by Hind Khalifat, Director of the Derayah Speakers Platform.
In the seventh session, entitled “Paper Journalism and Digital Transformation,” the speakers are: Editor-in-Chief of Al-Quds newspaper and its digital platforms, Dr. Ibrahim Melhem, Dr. Hamad Al-Kaabi, CEO of the News Center at Abu Dhabi Media Network, Editor-in-Chief of Al-Rai newspaper, Dr. Khaled Al-Shaqran, and Editor-in-Chief of Al-Dustour newspaper. Mustafa Al-Riyalat, and the session will be moderated by Hadeel Ghabboun, CNN Arabic correspondent in Jordan.
As for the eighth and final session, “Media and Specialized Digitization,” speakers will be: Chairman of the Board of Directors and Editor-in-Chief of Al-Nahar newspaper, Nayla Tueni, journalist and founder of the Black Box program, Ammar Taqi, presenter of a social podcast on Al-Mashhad channel, Mais Muhammad, and founder and general director of Sada Podcast, Muhammad Al-Amoush, which is managed by Media personality and political program presenter Anas Al-Majali.
