Hebrew website: Netanyahu rejected an army’s proposal to resume negotiations on the swap deal
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu rejected a proposal presented by the person in charge of the prisoner and hostage file in the Israeli army, Nitzan Alon, in an attempt to achieve a breakthrough in the negotiations aimed at reaching an agreement on the exchange of prisoners with Hamas.
This came according to what was reported by the Israeli “Walla” website, this evening, Sunday, quoting informed sources. According to the report, Alon presented the proposal, which includes an “Israeli concession,” during the meeting held by the war cabinet, yesterday evening, Saturday.
It is noteworthy that Alon is the army representative in the Israeli negotiating team regarding Israeli prisoners held by resistance factions in the Gaza Strip, and is responsible for “the intelligence effort to free the Israeli detainees.”
