Hamas Spoksman: We targeted 100 military vehicles within 10 days... We are ready for a long battle of attrition

The military spokesman for the Al-Qassam Brigades, Abu Ubaida, announced on Friday evening that 100 Israeli military vehicles had been targeted during the past ten days in all fighting axes in the Gaza Strip, and stressed the resistance’s readiness for a long-term battle of attrition with the occupation.

He said that "Al-Qassam members were able, within 10 days, to target 100 different Zionist military vehicles, including tanks, tankers, and bulldozers, on all fronts of the fighting."

He added, "The enemy in all areas of its incursion counts its dead and wounded in the dozens, and it hardly stops recovering its soldiers until it announces part of its losses, but what we are monitoring is much greater."

He added that members of the Al-Qassam Brigades "inflicted severe blows on the enemy forces east of the city of Rafah (south of the Gaza Strip) before they entered it, on its borders, and after they penetrated it."

Abu Ubaida continued, "The enemy's army brags about its crimes as military achievements, and that intimidation, criminality, and systematic destruction is the consistent strategy followed by it in Gaza in the hope of breaking the will of our people and dissuading its resistance from defending and confronting, but far from it."

He explained, "For long days, nights, and weeks, the enemy and his Nazi government practiced the ugliest forms of genocide against our people in front of the world. He did not leave any form of war crimes and crimes against humanity stipulated by the laws of heaven and the laws of mankind without committing them with all despicableness and barbarism."

He continued, "The criminal enemy and its barbaric army are still trying to restore their image since that day (October 7), but they are only getting more disgrace, dishonor, and disgrace."

Abu Ubaida added, "Our mujahideen confront the enemy on the front lines of confrontation with their various anti-armor and anti-personnel weapons, by detonating booby-trapped buildings, tunnel openings, and minefields with enemy soldiers, and by carrying out precise sniping operations, complex ambushes, and zero-range clashes."

In addition to "dropping missiles from the drones on the concentrations of its vehicles and soldiers, bombing its gatherings with mortars and short-range missiles, and directing rocket salvoes at its positions and positions, part of which we documented and announced and displayed successively over the past days," according to Abu Ubaida.

He continued, "Despite the war of starvation, destruction, murder, and crime, which if it was imposed on a superpower, it would have collapsed months ago, our mujahideen and our resistance, and behind it a great people and their support, come out before the enemy from everywhere to deal its soldiers with fatal blows."

Abu Ubaida stressed, "Despite our complete keenness to stop the aggression against our people, we are prepared for a long battle of attrition for the enemy, and to drag it into a quagmire in which by staying or entering any part of Gaza, it will not achieve anything other than killing its soldiers and hunting its officers. This is not because we are a superpower, but because we are the people of the land and the owners of rights. We are Gaza in its sky." Its air, sea and sand.”

He continued, "The syndrome of failure and confusion of the enemy's political and military leadership in the ground battle and the lie of the so-called military pressure to liberate prisoners and detainees is a recipe for accelerating the departure of enemy prisoners into the unknown."

Abu Ubaida added that the Al-Qassam Brigades "continuously and clearly announce, with names and pictures, some cases of killing and death of enemy prisoners due to the aggression of their army and the intransigence and criminality of their government and its corrupt president (Benjamin Netanyahu).

While Israel recovered dozens of its prisoners in Gaza through an exchange deal with the factions that included a temporary humanitarian truce that lasted 7 days and ended in early December 2023, Hamas says that Tel Aviv killed more than 70 of its prisoners in indiscriminate air strikes on the Gaza Strip.

Earlier Friday, the Israeli army announced the recovery of the bodies of 3 Israeli prisoners, including a man (53 years old) and two women (22 and 28 years old) who had been detained in the Gaza Strip since October 7. However, Hamas leader Izzat al-Rishq said in a post on “Telegram: The bodies “may be those that were previously bombed by the occupation and remained under the rubble,” stressing “the lack of confidence in the Israeli story.”
