Oxford academics ask their university administration to teach Gaza students remotely

About 500 academics and researchers at the British University of Oxford asked to teach students in the Palestinian Gaza Strip remotely via the Internet.

In a letter to the university administration, the academics called for supporting educational life in Gaza and cutting ties with companies that support Israel and its institutions. They also called for the university's curricula and resources to be opened online to academics, researchers and students in the Gaza Strip.

Researcher Aron, who only revealed her first name, said in a statement to Anadolu, “Stopping financial investments with those collaborating with the Israeli war machine is at the top of our demands.”

She added: "We want Oxford University to harness its wealth to rebuild education in the Gaza Strip."

She stressed the need to boycott Israel, noting that this boycott must continue "as long as the genocide in Gaza continues."

She continued: "We are academics and researchers at Oxford University, trying to provide everything that academics and the population in Gaza need."

Since last April, American, Canadian, British, French, and Indian universities have witnessed protests rejecting the Israeli aggression on Gaza, and demanding that university administrations stop their academic cooperation with Israeli universities.

The protesters, male and female students and professors, also demand that their universities withdraw their investments from companies that support the occupation of Palestinian territories and arm the Israeli occupation forces.

The Israeli occupation continues its aggression against the Gaza Strip, by land, sea and air, since the seventh of last October, which resulted in the martyrdom of 35,034 citizens, the majority of whom were children and women, and the injury of 78,755 others, in an infinite toll, as thousands of victims are still under the rubble. .
