The New York Times quoted informed sources as saying that US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken believes that the time has come to pressure Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and the Israeli war government more forcefully.

The newspaper added - citing sources - that Washington expected Israel to begin the third phase of the war last January and withdraw forces from the Gaza Strip.
