8,680 Palestinian detainees since October 7th

Yesterday and today, Saturday, the Israeli forces arrested at least 15 citizens from the West Bank, including a woman who was detained as a hostage, and former prisoners.

A statement issued by the Prisoners' Commission and the Prisoners' Club stated that the arrests were distributed among the governorates of Jenin, Nablus, Ramallah, Hebron, Qalqilya, and Jerusalem.

The Israeli forces continue to carry out widespread acts of abuse during arrest operations, accompanied by severe beatings and threats against detainees and their families, in addition to widespread sabotage and destruction of citizens’ homes, and the confiscation of vehicles.

Thus, the total number of arrests after October 7 rose to about 8,680, and this total includes those who were arrested from homes, through military checkpoints, those who were forced to surrender themselves under pressure, and those who were held hostage.

It is noteworthy that the data related to arrest cases includes those who were kept in detention by the occupation, or those who were later released.
