International newspapers: Israel informed Egypt of its refusal to stop the war after implementing the exchange deal
International newspapers and websites shed light on the internal Israeli debate regarding the possible attack on the city of Rafah in the southern Gaza Strip, and on the issue of the occupation’s refusal to stop the war on the Palestinian Strip.
The Financial Times newspaper quoted Israeli sources as saying, "Tel Aviv would be willing to postpone the long-planned attack on Rafah if an agreement could be reached to secure the release of the Israeli hostages."
The newspaper indicated that Israel has begun preparations to evacuate civilians from the city of Rafah before the expected attack that may come within weeks, according to an Israeli official.
According to the newspaper "Israel Today", Israel informed Egypt in a letter that it is ready to implement all the demands of the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas), except for declaring the end of the war after implementing the deal.

The newspaper quoted an Israeli official as saying, "Even the most moderate Israeli ministers who place the recovery of the hostages at the top of their priorities are beginning to run out of patience as a result of the disruption of talks to start the operation in Rafah."
Ron Ben Yishai, a writer for Yedioth Ahronoth newspaper, said that there is no absolute victory in Gaza, and that senior officials in the Israeli security establishment believe that the mission can be completed with a different strategy and other combat methods.
In another context, the French newspaper Le Monde wrote about what it called the gray zone of defense cooperation between Israel and France.
The newspaper said that France reduced its defense exports to Israel to a minimum, without completely severing military relations.
The Wall Street Journal focused on the Iranian attack on Israel, and said that it had deepened concerns about Tehran's nuclear program. It also saw that "the direct exchange of fire between the two rivals opens an era of the most dangerous competition."
