Israel targeted a car belonging to workers of the "World Central Kitchen" organization while they were working in Gaza. The American organization confirmed that seven of its employees were killed in an Israeli strike.

The founder of the "World Central Kitchen" organization, Jose Andres, expressed his sadness over the killing of members of the organization in an Israeli army air strike in Gaza, while Australia - which confirmed the killing of one of its citizens in the raid - demanded that the perpetrators be held accountable.

In a post on the X platform, Andres called on the Israeli government to stop “random killing” and impose restrictions on humanitarian aid. He also called on it to stop using food as a weapon.

The director of the government media office in Gaza, Ismail Al-Thawabta, said in a press conference: “Israel bombed a foreign team consisting of British, Polish, Australian and other nationalities that are not yet known, in addition to a Palestinian in Gaza.”

He added: "The Israeli army killed them in cold blood through warplanes roaming the Gaza Strip and committing the crime of genocide."

He continued: "We record the victims of the genocide carried out by Israel in the Gaza Strip, 4 foreigners who work for a foreign organization."

They wear the clothes and armor of the organization

The pictures showed the foreigners wearing clothes and armor bearing the logo of the World Central Kitchen. The victims of the targeting were transferred to Al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital in the city, including a woman.

For its part, the Israeli army announced the opening of an investigation into the incident, and claimed in a statement that it is making efforts to enable the safe passage of humanitarian aid into the Gaza Strip.

In addition, the media advisor to the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) in the Gaza Strip, Adnan Abu Hasna, described the attack on the employees of the World Central Kitchen organization as dangerous.
