The mediators present a new proposal to complete the prisoner exchange deal

The Hebrew channel Kan said that the United States, Egypt and Qatar will present in the coming days, and perhaps tomorrow, Sunday, another settlement proposal to advance the prisoner exchange deal between Israel and Hamas.

The channel added, quoting an Israeli source, that this initiative is important at the present time in light of the stalemate that the talks have reached.

Yesterday, Friday, Yedioth Ahronoth newspaper said that Israeli occupation Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu granted Mossad chief David Barina an additional mandate for the Doha negotiations at the beginning of this week.

The newspaper added that the new mandate is broader than the previous one, and the Mossad chief could have negotiated a change in the number of prisoners who would be freed in the first phase.

It indicated that the mandate also includes powers regarding the return of the displaced to the northern Gaza Strip, including their number, age, and gender, and regarding the deployment of Israeli army forces during the ceasefire.

Indirect negotiations between Hamas and Israel continue in the Qatari capital, Doha, in conjunction with the ongoing battles throughout the Gaza Strip.

The negotiations resumed a few days ago in all their tracks, and moved to the stage of technical meetings, as Qatari Foreign Ministry spokesman Majid Al-Ansari said last Tuesday.

Hamas's vision in the negotiations is based on five main points: a ceasefire, an unconditional return of the displaced, the withdrawal of the Israeli occupation army from Gaza, the entry of aid and relief materials, and reconstruction.
