Hebrew News Paper reveals Israel's plan for alternatives after the end of the war on Gaza..

The Hebrew newspaper "Haaretz" revealed today that the "war cabinet" will meet this evening, during which it is expected that initial consultations will take place on "options and alternatives" for the period after the war on Gaza, including who Israel wants to rule the Gaza Strip.

It said that a committee composed of the National Security Council, headed by Tzachi Hanegbi, and the Minister of Strategic Affairs, Ron Dermer, conducted deliberations on this issue, and together with the Israeli army, they will submit reports during the “war cabinet” meeting.

It explained that the political level is studying the possibility of reopening the Beit Hanoun-Erez crossing, in the northern Gaza Strip, in order to bring humanitarian aid into the northern Gaza Strip, in the wake of pressure exerted by the American administration and its condition on continuing to support the war on Gaza by increasing aid to the Strip.

According to the newspaper, a study is being made to bring aid trucks into the Gaza Strip through an opening in the security fence surrounding the Gaza Strip in the Kibbutz 'Be'eri area, which is used for Israeli forces to enter the Gaza Strip, on the eve of the arrival of US Secretary of State, Anthony Blinken, to Israel.

According to Israeli estimates, there are approximately 200,000 residents in the northern Gaza Strip after the Israeli army displaced the vast majority of the population to the south of the Gaza Strip.

The Israeli security service believes that reopening the Beit Hanoun crossing will achieve several goals at the same time: responding to American pressure, weakening Hamas over time, and reducing its ability to maintain its rule throughout the Gaza Strip.

The Israeli army estimates that it will be possible to transfer responsibility for distributing aid in the northern Gaza Strip to different parties, and to implement this with the assistance of international relief organizations.

One of the possibilities that the Israeli army is studying is to transfer responsibility for distributing aid to members of the Fatah movement who are subject to the Palestinian Authority, as there are currently about 170,000 people in the Gaza Strip who worked as employees of the Palestinian Authority before the Hamas movement took control of the Gaza Strip in 2007.

The newspaper refers to the decision of the extremist Finance Minister, Bezalel Smotrich, to stop transferring the clearance funds collected by Israel to the Palestinian Authority, which would prevent the implementation of the Israeli army’s plan. It is expected that Israeli security officials will demand that Blinken cancel Smotrich's decision and transfer financial dues to the Palestinian Authority.

According to the newspaper, the Israeli security service is also considering assigning “powerful businessmen and large families (tribes) who have a position in the Gaza Strip” to distribute aid, some of which is acceptable to Hamas, and which can impose order in different areas.

Another proposal, according to Haaretz, requires that aid be distributed by “civilian committees active in the Gaza Strip, or through mayors, local councils, and villages.”
